How to Make Sourdough Pancakes

This is a weekend favorite in my home…the kids love it, as you’ll see! It’s also a great way to use extra sourdough leaven. 🙂

Here’s the recipe:
Beat 2 eggs
Add:
1 cup whole milk
¼ cup vanilla or plain Greek yogurt
Approximately 1 ½ cups sourdough starter/leaven
Mix to incorporate
Add:
1 ½ all purpose flour
¼ cup white sugar
1 tsp fine sea salt, baking soda, baking powder
Mix, scraping sides of bowl as necessary
Add ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
Mix; cover and let sit at least 30 minutes, until you see starter activity in the batter
Cook pancakes on medium hot, greased pan. Flip when bubbles appear and finish cooking other side.
