a beginner’s guide to making perfectnever made pancakes before no problemthis video will walk you through step bystep on how to make the perfect pancakesevery timewhat you will need a wide skillet orgriddle for room to cook the pancakesone cup of all-purpose flour or wholewheat flour 130 grams 1 cup whole milkreduce fat milk skim milk or unsweetenedalmond milk 1 large egg 2 teaspoonsbaking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2teaspoon of fine salt or 3/4 teaspoon ofcoarse salt 2 mixing bowls mixing thebattercrack the egg in a small bowl and mixwith the fork or whisk until light andfrothycombine the flour baking powder salt andsugar in a large bowl stir to blendusing a fork or spoon next add your milkand beaten egg stir for about 10 secondsor until the wet ingredients arecombinedprotip don’t start too long or yourpancakes will be tough and rubbery nextlet the batter sit in your refrigeratorfor 20 minutes once taken out the battershould be pourable and thick if toothick you can stir in some milk toloosen it up a bitcooking your pancakes over medium heaton your stovetop if using an electricgriddle 375 degrees Fahrenheitprotip test the temperature of your panby putting a droplet of water on it ifit sizzles and evaporates it’s too hotif it sits there it’s too cold adjustthe temperature to your liking once youbecome a pro lightly coat your pan bypouring a small quarter size drop ofcooking oil or butter onto the surfaceof your pan pour your batter gentlyabout 1/3 to 1/2 cup into the pan use aspoon to spread the batter into a circlepro tip if you want to add fillings suchas fruit or chocolate chips add it inthe circle of the batter flip yourpancakes when bubbles begin to pop inthe pancake Center insert the entirespatula under the pancakes middle livequickly about an inch off the pansurface and flip it over cook for one totwo minutes then remove and place on aplateadd any toppings of your liking and giveyourself a pat on the backyou’ve just made the perfect pancakes[Music]
