my friends welcome back if you’re areturning viewer welcome if this is yourfirst time stopping by if you’re notsubscribed yet please feel free to hitthat red button and join me familytoday I’m making plantain pancakes I hadnever heard of these or eaten them but afriend of mine asked me if I could makethem for her because she saw themsomewhere so I figured I’d give it ashot and you guys are coming along withme for this experiment I’m using twovery ripe plantains I decided to cut outthe center part because I didn’t wantblack specks in my pancakes but I waslike it doesn’t really matter anyway I’mcutting them out then I’m going to cutup my plantains and get them ready to goin the blender with the rest of myingredients one and a half cups ofall-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon ofcinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/2teaspoon of baking powder one and a halftablespoons of melted butter oneteaspoon of vanilla and one a couple ofevaporated milk like I said I’m going topour all that in my blender and get toblending oh maybe I should have told youI’m using two eggs I’m using two eggs mydad makes these pancakes with my nieceand nephew and they’re notamerican-style pancakes so I imaginethat’s what Nigerian pancakes are likeso I’m going to try to make it that wayI’ve blended my ingredients and look atthat beautiful smooth batterthat’s what you want and now we can getto fry as you know I love my cast ironso I am melting the remaining 1/2tablespoon of butter in my pan on mediumheat I will be frying the rest of mypancakes with oil I’m using my 1/4 cupas a measuring tool and I’m just goingto pour that into the center of my pan Iwill swirl it around a little bit sothat my pancakes are not too thickand then I’m just gonna watch for thebubbles and then once I see the bubblesthat means it’s time to flip there we goif necessary give your pancake a gentletap all right and then just cook theother side and get get it onto yourplate so that’s all the oil I’m going tobe using to fly all that batter in orderto control how much oil I use I use thisbrush to brush my pan and then I justcontinue frying so just watch again as Ido this pour your batter on give it aswirl watch for the bubbles and thenflip[Music][Music]it’s a full and there are pancakes Ididn’t show you the plantain I use sothere it is well that’s not the one Iuse but that’s how ripe it was yeah butour pancakes look beautiful they tasteokay to mebut I’ll let my friend comment downbelow and tell us how they were I didadd some sugar to the last four so ifyou want a really sweet you can do thatI’ll see you next time
