[Music]everybody I’m gonna make some pancakes Iwas gonna make buttermilk pancakes butI’ve got something special in my insteadlet me get something out this is John’ssecret ingredient no joke I use orangejuice stir the milk now I do likebuttermilk pancakes don’t get me wrongcan’t be Burma pancake but man is thisgood you get to tryMark’s container that has some powderysubstance this is still pancake mix butit might be flour okay so all I do is Itake some this white powdery stuff whichby the way if it is pancake mix I’mgonna assume it is for now until wetaste it it’s either a hungry man or orbisquit this quick this quick hungry manI think it is the best we don’t reallydon’t stick with a particular brand wejust get whatever’s on sale or whateverlooks good or if we try it something inthe last you know a couple of timeswe’re gonna try something new so so itreally doesn’t matter what pancake mixis now I’ve got enough in the bottom ofthe bowl to make pancakes ER for myselfmy wife is a very social creature she iseither she’s out with her friends wherethey’re over here but she’s alwaysalways entertaining or being entertainedshe loves people so she’s not here rightnow she’s out with her friends and shecalled me a few minutes ago and said heyI’m gonna be a couple more hours and Ihad been waiting at least an hourI was already hungry and so I quicklyrealized I had to fend for myselftonight to make dinner so here we are sonow I’m just gonna pour enough orangecheese in thereto make this upsome people make Wilson running pancakesbut I rise a lot this right here nowwhat’s a while because we have a lot ofeggs we have 18 hens so this prettycomfortable okay here’s the consistencythat’s pretty good and that that’s alittle thinner than than I usually makeit but I’m gonna throw an egg in therejust because we have so many eggs and ittastes goodthese are these are farm-fresh eggs sowe don’t rinse the eggs off we until weuse them but when we’re storing them wejust leave them on the counter theynever get more than a maybe three daysold maybeso as we use them you know we’ll rinsethem off we don’t eat that many eggs wedo eat a lot of eggs here but we don’teat that many eggs look we do give a lotof eggs away to our friends and so sothere thanks some of we’re turning out alittle strange funny shapes then shellson some most of them are mature enoughthat they’ve been laying awhilemy wife has a bowl right there on thecounteror we throw our eggshells that is goingright in the garden the chickens loveeggshells and so the chickens spend alot of time in the garden for thatreason alone we’ve got an 11 acrehomestead and they just wander whereverthey want and so not quite sure wherethey are during today they just gowherever but they always come back toroost at night and some of them tend tostay pretty close to the garden areabecause they know they’ll find shellsthere we throw a lot of scraps okaynow I’ve already got the griddlepreheated over hereso one up or leaves out on the griddleand you’ll see orange juice pancakelooks like I haven’t come up with a namefor these yet I believe it or not I alsomake biscuits using orange juice insteadof milk for no reason I wanted to try itone day and it came out pretty good Idon’t know what to call the biscuitseither I don’t have a name for this Idon’t know if anybody else I’m surelysomebody somewhere in the world has donethis before but I’m not aware of it butthe biscuits I thought you know if Ishape the top just right because theyaren’t rich when they come out twobiscuits are orange if you shape the tophalf just right you know I could me callthese crumpets anywayall right now sometimes I’ll use a whatare those things called help me out hereguysyeah ladle thank you sometimes I use aladle and form on the bowl too big nowthese are these are quite a bit morethan I usually make them they usuallydon’t spread out like this these gonnabe pretty thin pinky’s not my preferencei I added too much juice and I kind ofknew that at the time you know Imentioned that this looked a little toothin I should added more of the flour orwhatever this happens to be but that’sall rightthese are still gonna turn out finethey’re gonna they’re gonna taste goodas you’re gonna be an orange so as thesecook the little bubbles on top we’regoing to start forming and then they’regonna start popping and that lets youknow that the center’s in a boil andthat it’s getting cooked through whenthat happens you know about 40 secondsor so and once that starts happeningthen we can flip them over you flip themover too soon makes a mess sometimesI’ve test the edges hereyeah a little this griddle is electricand gas at the same time don’t know howthat works could explain it to you but Ido know that there are eating Lelectrical heating elements in therebecause I could see it blowing and I canalso hear the flame come onafter the flow is going for a littlewhile and the gas kicks on it I don’tknow pretty close I did not do anythingto this riddle I didn’t oh oh yeah ohit’s melted these are definitely that isdefinitely pancake mixed this isdefinitely pancake better oh it smellsgood hmm that smells good look at thatgolden brown now one more thing I liketo do when I make pancakes I get them ona plate I want to egg on top likeovereasy let the yolk run down mixedwith the syrup butter oh goodness that’sgoodI shouldn’t be messing with these I’mjust kind of goofing off here usuallythis is out of habit I usually leave alittle bit left in the bottom becausewhen I’m making pancakes usually my wifeis with me yeah because she likespancakes and even the orange onesbelieve it or not and so I will usuallysay a little bit and it again I willmake her a little mini pancake to goalong with her regular pancakes cuz youknow you got to make breakfast breakfastwas loveoh yeah now so you’re not supposed to beflipping the pancakes over like this manthose smell good[Music]all right I’ve got a selected egg overhere crown on topcheck out that egg and that crazy it’slike it’s old paint it up I’m splatteredand that pretty that’s neatthese are from the Brahmas and theBrahmas usually have this lighter colortoo they’re not you know there’s stillbrown eggs but usually it’s just solidlight color but one of them like yes shekind of make some fancy done she use alot of salt when I cook I do use pepperI love pepper and I will over peppereverything for myselfnot pancakes don’t worry let’s see hereover here need some syrupnow we don’t stick with one particularbrand of syrup either this isButterworth’s in the mood for lat lasttime we were in the grocery store I tellyou what though we’ve got some syrupfrom Michigan buddy of mine oh man theymake some awesome syrup oh goodness isit goodwell we save that for special occasionswe have to get guests over oh it’s sogood but this is a good serve to getpancakes now to keep the yoke frombreaking usually what I’ll do is I’llkind of go around it with a spatula andcut through the egg white there andthickens up the egg white around theyogurt as it cooksgives us some extra support andprotection there we’re not going to goover easy on this one I’m just gonnamess over here somebody somebody’s nameis Joe did that for those of you thatare new to this Cooking Channel I’m Joeand this is not a Cooking Channelbecause if this were a Cooking Channelyou would be interrupted by commercialslike this where someone says pleasedon’t forget to like this video andsubscribe thank youOhyou know there’s a little hole rightherealright clean off the griddle get allthe big scraps and pancakes grabsomething goes down on this hole I don’tknow where we go home then I’m justgetting her to traitor I know buddydon’t worry okay so now let’s turn theoven off that’s an important step makesure the other dissolves oh if you couldjust smelling pancakes all the egg andthenice rings[Music]ityou definitely that orange flavor comesup but it’s not like a an orange
