Today, I’m going to show you how to cook shrimp and chive pancakes in Korean style. I had some left over chives at home from previous video and decided to cook this recipe for tonight. This side dish is called as tong sae-woo buchu-jeon (통새우부추전) in Korean, it goes so well with makgol-li (막걸리: Korean Rice Wine).
Tip 1. If you cannot find Korean pancake powder, substitute it with All Purpose Flour.
Tip 2. Make sure to cook each pancakes until golden brown and shrimps are cooked through.
Tip 3. I added oyster sauce into a pancake batter, we don’t need dipping sauce for this recipe. But if you need something to dip with, mix 1T soy sauce and 1T vinegar and serve on a small dipping sauce bowl.
Handful Fresh Chive
200ml Korean Buchim Garu
(Korean Pancake Powder, you can substitute with all purpose flour)
3/4t Oyster Sauce
I hope you like my recipe and make sure to serve it warm.
