making healthy chocolate chip cookies (VEGAN and ALLERGY FREE)

i made a healthy a chocolate chip cookie recipe! they’re vegan (as long as you use maple syrup instead of honey) and allergy free (to the best of my knowledge)

you can’t replace the real thing BUT if eaten like cookie dough, this recipe is not bad, and you can’t really tell the difference when eaten with other foods! i loosely followed the recipe that i showed, so if you want to give my recipe a try…

ingredients:
1 cup of oat flour
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/4 tsp of salt
2 tbsp of oat milk
2 tbsp of oil (i used olive)
2 tbsp of maple syrup or honey (i used more like one tbsp though)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/3 cup of chocolate chips/chunks

directions:
preheat the oven to 325
combine dry ingredients
add wet ingredients and mix
freeze until cool
roll into balls (and press)
put on parchment paper and bake for 11 minutes
let cool for 10 minutes

i suggest storing them in the fridge (they taste better and less doughy that way)

once again would definitely recommend eating them as cookie dough (after baked)

reallyprofessional here okay sothis recipe calls from bakingsoda but i don’t have any baking soda soi found some bakingpowder i’m really hoping that um thatdidn’t mess up this entire thing okayi’ve got my bowl outall right so first we need to combinethe dry ingredients all right it’s aboutto get inokay[Music]this is a new recipe so i don’t reallyknow how it’s going togo but we’re just going to hope for thebest[Music]now that i’ve got my flour i’m going toadd bakingpowder that’s supposed to be baking sodasome saltthe birds are really loud sorry about[Music]thattoday we’re using a fork as our mixerbecauseforks are just supreme you know i don’treally have an explanationnow we’re gonna put in our oat milk butfirst we really have to shake it becauseit says two so[Music]all right now we’ve got our oil it saysto use coconut oil buti’m allergic to coconut oil so we won’tbe usingthatokay why is there like nothing in herethis batter is so small it looks likeit’s gonna makelike two cookies now we’ve got ourmaple syrup here so actually that’shoney not maple syrup and i refer to itas maple syrup this entire videoand i say that the recipe is vegan butit is not it’s honey so it’s not veganbut if you want it to bevegan just substitute the honey formaple syrup sorry for my stupidity idon’t know why i thought it was maplesyrupbut i did so technically the recipeactually says to usesugar and brown sugar but i don’t thinkthat we haveeither of those thingsi don’t have like a really big sweettoothso i’m not gonna put in that much lookhow small that isokay next we need the vanilla extracti’m awaywe’re also very professional you seethat we’re using uma paper towel to do our cutting onsome good stuff we’re gonna pour it onandnow the key to a goodchocolate chip cookie is folding inthe chocolate chips chocolate chunksproperly that way every cookie hasthe same amount of chocolate chunks thisis the proper way to do it if youdidn’t know we’re going to get gallondirtyand just use our hands because the forkis not working anymore[Music]okay the chocolate chunks are now mixedthis is literally all that all that’stherethis recipe says that this dough shouldgoin the fridge for two hoursbut um we’re not gonna do that so we’regonna put it in the freezeruntil it’s coldthis is like one cookie[Music]this recipe doesn’t discriminate youknow becausenot only is it vegan because we used ourmaple syrup but it’s gluten freenut free egg free for those of you thatare allergic to eggsand nuts it is dairy freefor all you lactose intolerant peopleout therei have you covered oh it’s healthy umbecause we’ve got our oatflour here whole grains antioxidantsfrom the maple syrupolive oil is a good healthy fat andwe’ve got88 dark chocolate the darkestthat it goes while we’re waiting weshould try itand luckily we’ve got a little bit leftin the bowland on our fork so here here we goit kind of tastes like um cookiebatter now we’re going to line ourbaking tray with some parchment paperfun fact about mei’m left-handed so comment down below ifyou’re leftyit didn’t say how many cookies to makewe’re just going to makei don’t know we’re just gonna startmaking them wowit made a whole sixsix cookies all right now we’re gonnaput these babies in the oven for 11minutesa good tip to baking ishaving really low expectations so thatwhen you doa mediocre job you’re like really happyand impressed with yourself no like myexpectations arereally low okayit’s been 11 minutes there’s still ballswe’re just gonnasquish them while they’re still warmeven though it said not to touch themfor 10 minutes the chocolate’s stillgood so[Music]while i wait 10 more minutes i’m gonnagive you my first impressions first ofall they lookkind of dry honestly oh i touched themagaini feel like that’s how this is gonna gothey’re just gonna be in pretty dry[Music]cookiesas you can see they look scrumptiouswe’re just gonna wait for them to coolthe cookies are now cooled and it’s timeto give them a trythey look kind of like a cookieso that’s goodare they great absolutely not are theyediblepretty much i would say they’re verychewythey kind of taste like cookie dough ifyouput them in some ice cream i’d be likeoh this is some pretty good cookie doughice creamwill i be eating them yeah duhbut would i make them again no probablynotokay so i’ve actually finished thecookiesand honestly if you treat them likecookie dough and you put them in thingsthey’re pretty goodlike you really can’t tell much of thedifference from actual cookie dough ifyou were to put it inice cream that’d be a pretty good movedo i recommend eating themalone no not really especially becausethey’re reallyflowery and cakey um you could alwaysadd more liquid i guessbut i don’t really know how that wouldgo so if you do try this at
