How to Make Thumbprint Cookies

These delicious holiday cookies crumble in your mouth and are made all year round in our home.

Ingredients:
2 sticks or 1 cup (226g) of softened unsalted butter
1/3 cup (70g) sugar
1/3 cup (70g) of packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
3/4 teaspoon (3.5 mL) of vanilla extract
2 1/4 cup (280g) all purpose flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup (100g) Jam or jelly

📝 NOTE: The original recipe calls for the dough to be rolled from a tablespoon, however, the kids did not follow this precise measurement. Feel free to experiment and make the cookies as large or small as you’d like. They still come out delicious either way.
