How to Make The Commons Cookies

Today Deanna shows you guys how to make the Commons famous fresh baked cookies! Follow along and make this familiar recipe at home. Recipe:
10 Tbs of butter
½ Cup of Brown Sugar
½ Cups of White Sugar
1 Large Egg
½ Tsp of Vanilla Extract
1 ¾ Cup of Flour
¼ tsp of Baking Soda
¼ tsp of Kosher Salt
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips

Instructions:
1) Cream butter and sugars together until fluffy, 3 min.
2) Add in an egg and vanilla and mix until blended.
3) Add in flour, baking sode, and salt and mix just until fully incorporated.
4) Add in chocolate chips.
5) Roll into balls and bake on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
6) Bake at 350 for 10-12 min. You want a nice golden brown.

[Music]hey you art students we are back youguys asked for and we are deliveringCommons chocolate-chip cookies you wantyou guys to be able to make thesecookies at home I know that you missthem so follow on today all right so weare going to start we’ve got 10tablespoons of softened butter so youguys want to make sure you leave thisout it can’t be cold you can microwaveit in like five 10-second intervalsuntil it’s nice and sauced we’re goingto add that right in a KitchenAidthen we’ve got half a cup of white sugarand half a cup of brown sugar goingright in the bowl turn our mixer on andwe’re going to cream this just untilit’s like nice and light and fluffyprobably about three minutesso I’m just going to show you guys whatit looks like here’s going to be niceand creamy and white just until it’slike all incorporated we’ve got one eggmake sure it’s a large egg and you’regoing to dump this right in the bowlturn that on just mix it in I’m gonnaadd a small splash of vanilla and giveit a little bit of flavor you’ve got acup and 3/4 of a cup of all-purposeflour frost I’m gonna add in a quarterteaspoon of baking soda and a quarterteaspoon of salt that’s in here one ofthe special things we do is we usekosher salt so it’s a little bitthat are green its flakier gives thecookie a really nice salty flavor wealso use salted butter which you may ormay not have at home that’s just apersonal preference I like things saltyand sweet turn it on slow we just wantto incorporate it once your dough istogether just like this if you don’twant to see any flour you kind of justwanted to just come together once thathappens we’re gonna take 1 cup ofsemi-sweet chocolate chips we’re gonnathrow that right in there and againwe’re turning this on just to mix ituntil it’s incorporated we really don’twant to mix it to be any more than thatonce it’s together turning it off andyour cookie dough is done it’s thatsimpleall right so we’ve got a full sheet traywe find it with the sheet of parchmentpaper if you have a scoop you can use ascoop to scoop them out if you don’t youcan dohands and we’re gonna scoop out thesecookies and we’re just going to give alittle bit of a snitall right so now that we’ve got thesecookies all roll down all setthey’re going right in the oven 350we’re gonna set us for 10 minutes so youcan start with that and then check backand add extra minutes if you need alittle detailpulling them out nice and golden-brownthanks for tuning in today guys we’reglad they were able to join us we hopethat you can meet these at home Tyga’sin the comments below and tell us whatyou want to see next time for thecomments bakery stay tuned for moreinformational videos more chefdemonstrations about you heart diving onour YouTube channel Facebook Instagramand these cookies that we made today areactually being donated to the HartfordHospital nursing staff we just wanted tosay thank you to our loved frontlineassociates we have working out there tocombat this Kovach 19 during this timewe hope you guys had fun watching it letus know if you made them[Music]
