How to make Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

Mrs. Salisbury’s Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

Recipe and Instructions:

Preheat Oven 350 degrees
Makes 28 cookies

1 c salted butter
1 c brown sugar
¾ c white sugar
2 t vanilla
2 eggs
2 ½ cups all- purpose flour
2 t cinnamon
1 t baking soda
½ t baking powder
½ t salt
3 cups oatmeal-thick cut
½ c raisins
½ c craisins
½ c walnuts

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs.

In another medium sized bowl, combine the dry ingredients- flour, cinnamon,
baking soda, baking powder, salt and oatmeal. Stir.

In a small bowl, combine the raisins and craisins, use a couple pinches of flour
and toss to separate.

Add the raisins, craisins and walnuts to the dry ingredients. Stir the dry
ingredients into the creamed ingredients.

Divide the dough in half. Each half will make 14 cookies. Place rounded balls of
dough on the ungreased baking sheet.

Bake cookies for 15 – 16 minutes
