How to Make a Gravity Defying Surprise Drip Cake | Cookies and Cream Cake featuring Ari Attempts

Ari wanted to help with a tutorial today so instead of a usual Ari Attempts episode, Ari is joining in on mama’s cake making. This gravity defying surprise cake is great for ANY special occasion. I made this, with a bit of Ari’s help, for Father’s Day. It is a LOT easier than it looks.

Chocolate Cupcake Recipe (It’s a recipe specifically designed for cupcakes, but I love using it for small cakes like this as well! originally from https://www.glorioustreats.com/2010/0…)

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa (best quality available)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (best quality available)
1 cup boiling water (I replaced this with hot coffee and added an additional teaspoon of espresso powder)

Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Dump all ingredients into a large bowl
Place ingredients into cupcake liners
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when poked into the centre of the cupcake
