Grilled Chocolate Chip Cookies | How to Bake Cookies on the Grill

Why heat up your house in the summer? Bake those cookies on the grill outside instead. In this quick video I show how I made my very first batch of grilled chocolate chip cookies.

First, make sure the grill is clean first. If it is smoking or burning off food from yesterday it may impart unwanted flavors in your cookies.

I preheat my grill to between 325 and 350 degrees – on my grill all three burners are almost all the way turned down (I always keep the center burner at the lowest setting). I then place my balls of cookie dough onto a sheet. I like to use a non-stick silicone mat on the baking sheet – it helps ensure a more even cooking.

Now in this video, since it was my first batch, I had the temperature too high (almost 400). You’ll see the cookies got a little too dark. My second batch at the proper lower temp came out perfect. Enjoy!
