hi guys a type of Rufus kitchen and I’mgoing to be showing you today how tomake some delicious chocolate chipcookies it’s so easy to make and I’ll befeaturing on Jersey City PublicLibrary’s page every Wednesday at thistime so stay tuned so for chocolate chipcookies you only need a few ingredientsforget that prepackaged stuff at thegrocery store you could really make thisat home and it’s going to be just asgood if not better so let me show youwhat you’re going to need to make thiscome right along so here are myingredients you are going to need oneand a half cups of all-purpose flour youwill need one teaspoon of baking sodaI also added some instant coffee becausecoffee and chocolate go really welltogetherit’ll accentuate the flavor of thechocolate but you could definitely omitthat and then you have one egg here thatI added one teaspoon of vanilla too youhave half a cup of brown sugar half acup of white sugar and then unsaltedbutter that is room temperature so Itook this out last night and just leftit on the counter top and you can seethat it’s a little soft but not meltedwhich is exactly what you want you willneed a baking sheet lined with parchmentpaper and then a cookie scooper so I’mgoing to be using my kitchen eight todayif you don’t have a KitchenAid that iscompletely fine you could just use abowl and a utensil like a rubber rubberspatula that will work just fine sofirst thing we’re going to do is add ourwet ingredients so we’re going to addour egg which already has one teaspoonof vanilla in there we are also going toadd our sugar so half a cup of the brownsugar then we’re going to do half a cupof white sugar and then we’re also goingto add the unsalted room-temperaturebutter to this as well so there we havethat so I’m just going to use myKitchenAid with a paddle attachment butlike I said you could usea bull would like a rubber spatula justlike this and I’ll do the trick as wellso I just want to whip this together[Music]so this cookie is super easy to make athome I’m going to show you some that aregonna come together in five minutes andthen it just needs to chill and thenbake for about 10-15 minutes and youhave a delicious cookie so let’s see howthis is creaming together you can seethat some of that butter got stuck soI’m just going to bring it down a littlebitwhip whip whipso I love the showing how to make easyrecipes that you could do at home I’mactually a food blogger and a recipedeveloper so I’m really excited to shareall these easy recipes with you guysthat will be coming weekly here at theJersey City Public Library page if youalso want you could look at my websitewhose kitchen dot-com and you canactually search this chocolate chipcookie recipe on there as well and youcan also follow me on my Instagram pageit’s Foofa in the kitchen I actuallyhave it right on my shirtalright let’s look back at these cookiesso you can see here that it’s creamedtogether really nicely and what we’regonna do now is add our teaspoon ofbaking soda with our Nescafe that’s whatI use for my instant coffee and I addeda pinch of salt as well and we’re alsogoing to add one and a half cups ofall-purpose flour to this and that’s mycats in the background they don’t likethat I’m not giving them any attentionright now those who have pets canrelease so I’m going to mix thistogether once againand then we’re going to add one and aquarter cup of chocolate chip cookiesthese are semi-sweet chocolate chipcookies you could use dark chocolate youcould use milk chocolate honestlywhatever you have on handI feel like semi-sweet goes really wellwith this chocolate chip cookie recipeso I’ll be putting in one and a quartercups I just want to like sprinkle themin therecould you believe that this is basicallydoneso it’s just coming together we’re goingto shut this off and I want to show youthe dough so here is your cookie doughlook at that beautiful smells amazingtook literally five minutes and just afew ingredients to make your ownchocolate chip cookie dough so now I’mgoing to scoop these and share a fewtips okay so I have a baking sheet righthere I’m just a boy and I lined it withparchment paper parchment paper isdifferent than wax paper I recommendusing parchment because it has a itcould take on a higher level of heat soit’s better for putting in the ovenparchment paper will also allow for youto scoop your cookies on here and thenyour cookies will come right offso you’re avoid sticking and you’llavoid a mess because you can just takethis off once you’re done and then youdon’t have a mess either so it’s reallyawesome I definitely get some parchmentpaper to keep in your kitchen and I’musing a cookie scooper and this is aboutone and a half tablespoons in size forthe cookie you could use whatever sizeyou do have and I love using thisbecause it makes all the cookies uniformso they’re all the same size and they’llgive it that nice dome shape that acookie honestly should have so I’m justgoing to scoop my cookies right onto thepan leaving some space in betweenbecause these cookies will spread theyhave butter in them anything with butterany cookie with butter is going tospread so you want to make sure youleave some space in between each tellhow almost like room to just shapeitself so I’m just going to keep doingthis and then this recipe actually makesabout two dozenso you’re gonna get about two dozenmedium-sized chocolate chip cookieswhich is pretty good all right let’sjust keep on scooping means and I have atrick also that I do with my chocolatechip cookies so I don’t just put theseright in the oven after I scoop them Iactually put them in the fridge forabout 10 minutes why you might thinkokay so the reason why I do that isbecause like I said there’s butter inhere right and butter tends to just meltas soon as you put it you know againstheat like in the oven so what I do is Iput this in the fridge for about 10minutes so it could chill the cookiedough and that way it won’t flatten outit will more likely keep some shapewhich is what I like I also like a truersoft cookie and these literally hit thespot in that aspect so here they arescooped nicely right onto my cookie pansome space in between perfect just likethat so I would typically put this inthe fridge for about 5 to 10 minutes andthen I put it in my 350 degree oven forabout 13 minutes typically I would bakethem on the bottom rack for 10 minutesand then I put them on the top rack forabout three minutes and I actually bakedsome last night so I could show you thefinal result so this is what they looklike before and then let me show youwhat they look like after there you haveit beautiful chocolate chip cookies ohmy god that smells so good and this wasbig last night and they’re still softlet me show you the insideso see here beautiful soft cookie littlechewy and full of chocolate jokes so youcan’t go wrong with this you could evenhave your kids help you with this and Ireally hope you enjoyed my feature likeI said you
