Here are some easy snacks recipes ideas. They are really easy to make and somewhat healthy. The cookie might not be too healthy, but in moderation it can satisfy a sweet tooth. In this video I will show you how to make chocolate almond date balls, lime popsicle, ants-on-a-log, cookies in a pan, and a way to spruce up the appearance of simple boiled eggs.
Choco Protein Balls
1 cup almonds (washed and rinsed)
1 cup pitted dates (soak in hot water for 20 minutes to soften them up)
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
A dash of salt
Direction
o Blend everything in a food processor, scraping the side as you go along.
Lime Popsicle
About 4 limes
3-4 tablespoons honey
1 ¼ cup warm (or hot) water
Direction
o Mix everything in a bowl.
o Let liquid cool down a bit and put into molds or any container of choice.
o Put in freezer for at least 7 hours, but best to freeze them overnight.
Ants on a log
Celery stalks
Peanut butter or any nut butter of choice
Raisins or cranberries
Direction
o Wash and cut your celery stalks.
o Fill the center of celery with peanut butter.
o Top it off with couple of raisins.
Cookies in a pan
3 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg yolk (1 tablespoon chia seeds + 2 tablespoons plant-based milk for vegan)
1 tablespoon butter or ghee (1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil for vegan)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Raisins, sprinkles
Directions
o Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
o Shape dough into flattened ball.
o Heat pan on medium heat. After about 1-2 minutes pan will get hot, that’s when you reduce heat to low.
o Add your cooking dough.
o Cover pan and cook cookies on low heat for 15 minutes until golden brown.
o Flip your cookies and heat for about 5 minutes more.
