Hi friends, in this video I’m making soft and chewy, classic chocolate chip cookies. A chocolate chip cookie is a drop cookie that originated in the United States. The traditional recipe starts with creaming the butter, brown sugar and white sugar together. Depending on the ratio of ingredients, mixing and cooking times, some cookies will be softer than the other cookies. The texture of the cookies depends on the fat used in the recipe. Ingredients:
All purpose flour – 1 ½ cups
Baking soda – ½ tsp
Butter (salted) – ½ cup
Brown sugar – 1 cup
White sugar – ½ cup
Egg – 1
Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
Chocolate chips – ½ cup
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350℉.
Add Baking soda to the flour and mix it together and keep aside.
In a bowl, add melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar and beat it together using a hand blender until creamy for 2-3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and beat it again for 2 more minutes. Add the flour and mix it using a wooden spoon. Fold in the chocolate chips. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop the dough and drop it in the cookie sheet. Bake them for 15 minutes. Let them cool. Enjoy the cookies with a glass of milk !!!
Note: You can either melt the butter or use the room temperature butter.
The egg should be at room temperature, too.
If you can, keep the dough in the fridge for an hour, this makes the cookies more chewy.
Use a table spoon scoop for mini cookies.
Place the cookie dough 2 or 3 inches apart. The cookies will expand a lot.
Let them cool for at least 5 minutes before eating…😀
