be showingtwo teenagers who have very littleto know baking skills how to make somecookies soum let’s go on this adventure togetherwe are making cookies what kind ofcookies chocolate chip sochocolate andi am not responsible for it if they’regonna cook i’m just gonna guideokay i’m gonna show you guys how toseparate the egg white from the egg yolkbecause this recipe calls for a onewhole eggand only an egg yolk let me wrap it upso i’m gonna show you guys how to dothatyou crack your egg and you make surewhen you open ityou catch the yolk in one side and thenyou kind ofgo back and forth between the two halvesof the shellto get all the white out and that’snow put your finger in kind of pry itopen there you goso this is the first time you’ve everdone that yeah it’s the first time ieven touched nickit’s the first time you ever touched anegg oh my god yeah so you have separatedyour first egg officially yeahthis is the first time i even touched methe first step is to melt your butterum we’re gonna melt it in the microwaveuh at20 second increments after every 20secondsand take it out stir it until it’s allcompletely melted so you’re siftingthe salt the baking soda and your flourtogether rightyeah okaynow go ahead and add the um baking sodato itah is the salt check yeah is that allleft in there soi’ll just flip it over dump it inokay what’s the next step um pour thebutterinto your stance mixers worker bowl addthe sugarsand beat with the paddle attachment onmedium speed for two minuteswait wait it’s not badjust sifted out to a different bowl notthebowl of stand mixer so what you’re doingwith the butter and the sugar is likeyou’re creaming the butter and sugartogether so like make these little sugarlikedissolve uh well i want this all it’llmake it kind of like a pastego ahead and pour all the butter in andthen into thereinto the silver bowl into the silverbowl yeahall kinds of sugar the white sugar andthe brown sugar okayuse your hands scoop it outi don’t want like my fingers to be allin our foodyou lost your hands i know it’s stillkind of weird there’s a lever on theback of the mixeryeah that brings the bowl upyeah it’ll lock into place there you gothere’s numbersyeah so it goes from what one one toten okay so it said medium for how longare you supposed to mix it i mean aminutehey google set a timer for two minutesall right two minutes and we’re starting[Music]now[Music]okay so next step is mixing everythingtogetherall your wet ingredients yeah did youguys know that when you’re bakingtechnically sugar’s powder is a wetingredient reallybecause the way it reacts oh oh wellthat makes senseso okay so now you take your remainderandremaining wet ingredients anduh put it in there mix them all togetherwith a whiskso yeah your egg egg yolkwith your milk and your vanilla there wego go ahead and whisk it until it’s alleven and looks uniformcome on i’m working on it don’t beafraid of itoh it’s yellowall right is it evenly combined it lookslike it okay what’s your next stepclose the mixer to stir and slowly workthe egg mixture into the butter andsugarmix until thoroughly combined about 30seconds30 seconds turn off what’s the next stepusing the paper plate as a slidegraduallyintegrate the dry ingredients stopping acouple times to scrape down the side ofa bowl with a rubber spatulaa little more there you go that’s betterall right turn it off hold on look theyjust drop the ball downthat’s easier to get to the sides andget all this flavor that alice put onthe paddlewell oopsie there you go yeah get allthat off there scrape the sides outhey allison trader you don’t even startwith mei mean it’s a valid question less talkymore scrapeyyeah that workedwhat’s the next step say okay we aregoing todrop the speed to sir and add thechocolate chips oh yeahwe’re gonna have to that needs to mixlonger that’s notincorporated enough you’re closeto the turquoise wait i think you’resupposed to put it on starterdoesn’t say that yes okaydumped it all init’s like hold onthere’s two more in there those aresnacking chipsthere’s one more you gotta save a couplesnack and chips when you make cookiescome onno we don’t eat when we cook one snackand chipokay so now we eat the cookie dough forone hourokay no seriously one second it’schilling for one hourlet’s take it out there now scoot thatmixer back it’s heavythat’s a chonky boy right there justscrape all thethe dough off of the paddle and scrapethe sides downand we’re going to cover it with plasticway up scrape it off the palette andscrape the sides downnope don’t do that you need an injectioncontaminationyou can corona you can lick themyou can lick the paddle after it’s inthe fridge stop itall right ally scramble the sides of thebowl i willi trust you now that’s how you scrapethe holedo you ever look at someone and wonderwhat is going on inside their head[Music]think you just died yeah we’re dying momohyou’re neither of you are dying this isthe best part about bakingit tastes like salmonwait i wonder how edible cookie dough[Music]i have a bunch of your videos saved tomy watch laterby the way[Music]we’re going to scoop the dough into oneand a one half ounce proportioninto parchment paper line half sheetpanssix cookies yeah turn if you put themtoo close because they’re going tospread a lotall right you finished that curry andthen the other thing is likethat’s a big cookie[Music]there’s so much left in hereoh keep scooping keep putting you’regonna have to use your hands to flattenout yeahyeah it’s just cookies right here idon’t think just like you cook yourpantsor your pants it’s just so the doughdoesn’t stick your handsoh yeah put another scoopright in the middle and spread it out ohmy godit feels like nasty all rightokay look fairly even nokind of
