NO BAKE COOKIES, WITH THE FAM.
My mom showed me how to make these when I was in second grade. I made them weekly for almost my whole childhood. I love making them with my kids too! Yes, this music lesson has nothing to do with music. Yes, these cookies are amazing and fun to make with kids because they are low-pressure and give a real sense of confidence in the kitchen! Takes 10 minutes. Have fun!
Recipe:
In a small pot combine.
1 stick of butter
½ cup of milk
2 cups of sugar
2 Tablespoons of un-sweetened cacao
Melt together over medium/high heat, then remove from heat.
Add:
1 Cup of peanut butter
2 teaspoons of vanilla
4 cups of old-fashioned oats.
Let dry for 20 minute, or don’t and eat them right away, or freeze them! Yummy.

Awesome. Thanks. Ever since finding a bread recipe of yours, I haven’t stopped making homemade bread. Only thing I do different is use milk instead of water and coat the loaf with egg yolk before baking — makes a nice crusty finish on the top. 🙂 Thanks for these videos.
Thanks for watching! If you’d like a printable version of the recipe, you can find it here: https://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2020/03/easy-dough-recipe.html
This looks so easy and yummy! At what altitude are you?
This is exactly what I needed to see right now! I didn’t want to have to search for an easy recipe and like an answered prayer, you posted this!❤
great video it was really entertaining
Can you use better for bread flour? And do you grease the bread pan?
As a ranch wife in south Central Oregon I have always stayed “prepared and stocked up”. I went to Bend yesterday and not one bag of flour to be found. Luckily I have some and more has been ordered. Have you ever used oats (quick or rolled)?
Ouch! your poor neck. I’ve burnt myself on the forehead using the curling iron a while back. Those curling irons get extremely hot. Great way to make bread, thanks for sharing.
Glad I watched
cool video dude
That is very interesting. Definitely gonna try that.. Thanks
I dont know about you, but I would have quadrupled the sauce on that pizza!!! Yum. How do you like those stoneware pan for loaf pans??
Hey Jill, my grandson has egg allergy. Can I leave the egg out and it still turn out ok?
Thanks for sharing this. I have been making a lot of bread and rolls the last few days. Always helps to have new recipes to try that don’t use oil or milk. Did I hear you call your son Bridge? My sons name is Bridger. I have never come across anyone else named that before. Only last names. My son is 22. I picked his name because it was different.
I have been trying to find yeast in the store ,can’t find any, tried amazon but again I cant find any. Well I’ll keep looking
Yum . Will try that this weekend along with your rustic sausage potato soup! That’s some good eatin
Glad to know I’m not the only one who’s done that with a curling iron. 47-year-old Klutz Queen… ♀️
Love you sense of humor sprinkled throughout whatever you do + clear concise teaching style = Homestead Home Run! 🙂
Made a good round bread in my Dutch oven but I’ve really been wanting to make a good loaf. Thank you! Can’t wait to try this!
