Mechado||Pork Mechado with Toasted Bread||Easy way to cook Mechado||Lutong Pinoy||Your Curvy Chef

Ingredients

1/2 kg of pork
250-gram pack tomato sauce
1 medium red onion
5 cloves garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cups water
2 medium potatoes
Toasted bread
salt, to taste (optional- the soy sauce is enough)
ground black pepper, to taste
bay leaf

Cooking Procedures

In a pan, put the pork, water, soy sauce, pepper and bay leaf. Simmer until the pork is tender.
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the potatoes. Set it aside after frying. On the same pan, saute onion and garlic until fragrant. Add in the tenderized pork together with the broth. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Pour in the tomato sauce, then simmer for another 2 minutes. Add the potatoes and simmer until the potatoes are well cooked. Lastly add the crushed toasted bread to thicken the sauce. Season with salt (optional). I did not add salt because the soy sauce is enough to spice it up. Serve while hot.
