it’s bourbon night hello I’m Chad I’mSarah and this is the first episode ofeat more bourbon sounds good what are wemaking Sarah today we’re gonna makebourbon bread pudding[Music]this is exciting yeah I love to cookthis is something that I’ve made for youbefore it is you like it a lot we judgebread puddings when we go out to eat hmmthey never compare based on oh thank youthat’s so sweetwell I guess we should get into it thenlet’s do it all right so here iseverything that you’re gonna need tomake the bread pudding so yeah it’squite a list of ingredients but Ipromise you it’s worth it okay so thefirst thing that you’re going to do isget ten sentiment rolls and bake themaccording to the instructions now I havedone this before where I made cinnamonrolls from scratchand it was fun but it took way longerand I ended up liking it better when Ijust made them from the package so forthis recipe I use Annie’s cinnamon rollsyou can use Pillsbury you can usewhatever you want you do not need theicing so just go ahead and bake those upaccording to the instructions and youwill let those sit overnight becausethey do need to dry out and they need toget cold so once those are cold you cango ahead and start cubing them she’sjust gonna chop them up into cubes justlike this and that’s where you cutyourself right not something I normallydo not something I was hoping to do forour inaugural episode but it happensoccasionally this is the importance ofone a good first aid kit and to notdrinking too much before you do anepisode of eat more bourbon there you goI’m so playing me for the rest of thisportion will be John’s hands I’vescrubbed in yes that’s rightand ready to go ready to go back to itokay so you would continue cubing thesecinnamon rolls until they’re all choppedup you’ll put those aside in a big bowland then you’ll add the milk to the bowlso that all the cinnamon rolls get theysoaked up that milk yepyou want to stir them gently don’t breakthem up don’t irritate them just makesure they soak up that milk they’re notgonna soak up all the milk but as muchas you can get gotcha all right nowyou’re gonna get out I separate Bowl andthen that you’re going to beat the eggsthe egg yolk cream sugar vanillacinnamon allspice all rightthen you’re gonna take that egg mixtureand you’re gonna add it to the cinnamonroll mixture and stir gently again begentle with your stirring you do notwant to break up the cinnamon rollsgentle gentle just a gentle stir at thispoint you’re going to pre-heat your ovento 375 and get out on 9 by 13 pan andgrease it you can use spray you can usebutter what have you how really lard youknow whatever grease is your pan nowwe’re gonna pour that cinnamon rollmixture into your greased pan and you’regonna bake it at 375 for 45 minutes andthen for 15 minutes you’re gonna drop itdown to 325 bake it that additional 15minutes and then it’ll be done so whileyour bread puddings in the oven you aregonna get out of saucepan and make yourbourbon sauce which is the mostimportant part of the recipe yeah thepart that has the Bourbon so the sauce Ifeel like that’s something you can doeven with your bum finger that’s true Ican do that with my bum finger okay takeit away all right so you’re gonna meltbutter over medium heat in that saucepanso while the butter is melting you’regonna beat the sugar egg and cream andthen add it to the melted butter oncethe butter is melted you’re going tolower the heat put this on low it’s veryimportant be careful if your pan is toohot your egg will break and it willbasically scramble so this is a key partokay I don’t don’t scramble the macdon’t scramble those eggs it’s okay it’svery important gotcha once you’vesuccessfully added your egg mixture toyour butter pan you will continue tostir it on low heat for ten minutesmm-hm and it’ll start to thicken oncethat mixture looks like it’s gettingthick you can add in the bourbon vanillaand cinnamon and remove it from the heatI like to add the Bourbon about twominutes before it’s done because I liketo cook off just a little bit of it Ithink it really helps to make the saucenice not too aggressive but not too muchcooking off right no just a little bitjust a little bit you know some it justdepends on who you’re serving this toright gotcha how much do they like theBourbon and we use buffalo traces I didI use Buffalo Trace in this recipe usinga higher proof bourbon you might want tocook it off a little moreyeah I actually would recommendsomething on the lower proof end forthis it’s gonna pair nicely with thebrown sugar and just like the lightnessof the sauce gotcha and once that sauceis combined once your bread puddingcomes out of the oven and it is coolingslice it put some sauce on ityeah I like to put a little whippedcream on the top of mine I make it fromscratch you can do ice cream you coulddo nope on the moon gotcha all right andnow thanks to the magic of TV we giveyou bread pudding oh yeah oh so good Imean it’s pretty good but you’re doingsomething no it’s so good Wow all rightwell I’d like to finish that off camerayes we’re gonna go I think you also needto finish that off camera yeah we gottago Sarah that hands down as
