How To: Baking Bread Edition

Below is the recipe!

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups Flour
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. (hot/not boiling) water
1⁄2 tsp. dried yeast (if using live yeast then you would need 1-1/2 tsp.)
You will need a pan with a lid
DIRECTIONS:
MIX the flour + salt in a bowl
In a separate bowl, MIX the hot water + yeast (let sit for 15 minutes)
COMBINE both dry + wet ingredients and FORM into ball with hands
COVER bowl with plastic + place a towel on top of bowl + let it SIT OVERNIGHT in a warm place
Next morning:
PREHEAT oven to 450 degrees
Put the Pan in the preheated oven for 1⁄2 hour (*important step)
With a spoon (slotted) clean the edges of the dough
Take the bread onto a floured surface and do 8 pulls (N, S, E, W – x 2)
*This is when you would add extra ingredients (cheese or brown sugar, etc.)*
SHAPE into Loaf (tuck under)
Put on Parchment paper and then into pan.
Make large X on the top of the loaf with a knife.
PUT LID ON
Bake for 1⁄2 hour with the lid on. TAKE LID OFF for the last 15 minutes
(*if you are using sweeteners, then take the lid off after 10 minutes as they burn easier).

SWEET Bread:
1/3 cup Brown sugar with 2 Tbsp cinnamon + crushed pecans.
