How to Bake Corn Bread

This is a delicious, tried and true, cornbread (corn bread) recipe. It’s good with chili, ham & beans, or whatever your family likes it with!

1 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 TBS baking powder
3/4 c sugar
1 c cornmeal
3 eggs
3/4 cup butter
1/2 to 1 cup milk

[Applause][Music][Music]and[Music]hi Sanji from Canterbury trails farmtoday I’m making cornbread to go withham and beans which is the separatevideo and I’m glad you joined us this isa really simple recipe and run outtayou’re gonna be used my mixer for thisI’m just using a mixing bowl the firstthing I’m going to need is a cup offlour you can use whole wheat flour oryou can use white flap I’m just usingregular flour today add 1/4 teaspoon ofsalt before I get any further you needto pre-heat your oven to 375 and greaseand 8 or a 9 inch baking pan squarerectangle around whatever you want to dogonna need 1 tablespoon of baking powderC 3/4 cups sugar I’m going to need 1 cupof cornmealplease need three eggs3/4 cup butter softened or mine I sortof stuck mine in the microwave for like30 seconds it sort of soften it up thereI need a half cup to one cup of milk andyou’re gonna start out with just a halfa cup if it looks like it’s going to betoo dry then we’ll add moreforget it all mixed up since I’m notusing a mixer I keep finding littlepocketsokay once you’re sure you have itthoroughly mixed we’re going to put itin ouryeahyou know our 375 degree fahrenheit oven30 minutes or until the top is lightlyBrown and the center comes out cleanwhen you stick it with a piece of pastaor a toothpick let’s put it in the ovenand wait I came in a little bit brownerthan I like around the edges I realizedthe center was not done so I should haveput a piece of foil over it I thoughtabout it and went ahead and closed theback up and then got distracted and thenit was like I didn’t put the foil oncame back but it’s done now but it’s nottoo bad it’s a little a little bitdarker I should be more this color allthe way around just in this middle andso this is a little dark but it’s stillgood it’s not burnt or anything so Ihope you liked this quick and easycornbread recipe you can also be done inmuffin cups if you wanted to do it thatway but I just decided to do it in today[Applause][Music][Music][Music]
