Novice breadfruit baker and St. Thomas Flavors’ guide, Lisa, teaches us how to bake breadfruit. A staple in many tropical regions, breadfruit can be cooked in many different ways and the flavor has been said to be potato-like or having a slight resemblance to freshly baked bread. It is most delicious when paired with a variety of sauces (highly recommend hot sauce or “mayo-ketchup”) or accompanied by other foods, such as fish.
