A fusion dessert from Mishti’s BongKitchen.
This eggless no bake saffron milk cake is made from bread and Abevia evaporated milk. This dessert is very easy and quick to make and your kids and family will surely love it. When guests coming over , do try this unique recipe not only that it looks tempting but it surely tastes heavenly with the richness of khoya and saffron milk made with Abevia evaporated milk.
Recipe for homemade khoya:
In a vessel, pour 250 ml of Abevia evaporated milk and a cup of soaked saffron milk. Add 1/4 cup sugar and mix all the ingredients and cook in low flame until it’s thick and water is completely evaporated. Abevia evaporated milk reduces the time to reduce the quantity of milk and you can make in few mins khoya which will be ready to use.
Ingredients :
3 slices white bread
Home made khoya
1/2 cup full fat milk
170 g Abevia evaporated milk
Saffron strands
Chopped almonds
Chopped pistachio
Rose petals for garnishing(optional )
Recipe for saffron milk cake with bread :
Pour milk , evaporated milk , sugar in a vessel
Add saffron strands
Cook 5-10 mins in medium flame
Remove from gas
Chill in refrigerator for 30 mins
Now cut the sides of the bread
Spread khoya on the bread slices
Put one bread and apply saffron milk on it
Cover the edges
Put a khoya bread on top and repeat the process for all the slices
Pour remaining saffron milk on top
Garnish with almonds, pistachios & rose petals(dry)
