Eggless bread pudding is a quick and easy dessert. This is a very tasty dish that can be prepared by baking quickly in the oven. Garnishing can be done in various ways. Ingredients:
1 litre full cream milk (or any type of milk you like)
400 gms sweetened condensed milk
6-8 bread slices
½ tsp vanilla essence
almond slice/ other nuts to garnish
whipped cream to spread over the pudding before baking
Method:
Heat a pot on medium-high and add little water to prevent the milk from sticking. Add 1 litre of milk. Bring the milk to boil and add ~ 400 gms (1 tin) of sweetened condensed milk and 1/2v tsp of vanilla essence. Mix and keep aside. Lightly butter 6-8 bread pieces depending on baking tray size. Cut each slice of bread into 4 pieces. Brush baking tray with melted butter. Place bread pieces in 2 layers. Make sure that the bread sides are placed alternately on the other (to balance level). Add the milk mixture slowly on top of the bread until all the mixture is in. Garnish with sliced almond or any other nuts and add whipped cream in any manner you like. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and bake for about 20 minutes. Eggless bread pudding is ready. Garnish with more nuts if you like while serving in a bowl.
