Bread Chili | Bread Masala | How to make bread chili
A simple eve snack which can be prepared in a very little time with minimal ingredients available at home.
Bread masala is a street food snack made of fried bread pieces tossed with selective veggies and spices.
There are many types of flavors available depending upon the list of ingredients used in it.
Any variety of bread can be used ( White, Whole wheat or Multigrain ).

Ingredients Required
Bread slices 6 Nos
Butter 1 Medium cube or 100 gms
cumin seed 1 tbsp
Chopped Onion 200 gm
Chopped Tomato 175 gm
Chopped Capsicum 175 gm
Sliced green chili 2 no
Sliced Ginger Garlic each 50 gm
Chopped Cilantro few
Curry leaves few
Red chili powder ½ tbsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tbsp
Garam Masala ½ tbsp or Kitchen King Masala ½ tbsp
Tomato Ketchup 2 tbsp
Salt as required
Water as needed
Method
Bread toast can be done in 2 ways
1, Cut the bread slices in cubes, add butter on a pan, toss the cut bread for a few mins until it is crispy, keep aside.
2, Toast the whole bread on a toaster or tava adding little butter on both the sides. Later cut in cubes and keep aside.
On a pan, heat butter 1 medium cube or 100 gm
When melted add cumin seed 1 tbsp , when it splutters add chopped onion 200 gm,
green chili 2 no and saute till its golden brown in color.
Add Sliced garlic 50 gm and sliced ginger 50 gm, curry leaves few and saute till the raw flavor is gone.
Add chopped capsicum 175 gm and saute for few mins, add chopped tomato 175 gms and saute for 1 minute,
reduce the flame and add all the masala powders and tomato ketchup and required amounts of salt.
Add very little water and cook for a few mins. Switch off the flame and add the fried bread to it.
Mix gently and garnish with chopped cilantro leaves.
Serve hot with chai or coffee.
