Bake with Us! – Banana Bread: Regular VS Low-Carb

In this video my mother and I COMPETE to make the best Banana Nut Bread! Just kidding. This was not a competition, we just decided long ago we both enjoyed the art of baking, but got along better when we followed our own recipes. So we made Banana Nut Bread – 2 ways! The classic (Mom’s), and the low-carb (mine).

Aside from being one of the most sought after baked goods of Quarantine 2020, banana bread was also a staple in our house growing up. Whenever the bananas turned brown we saved them and made some bread. So we thought it would be fun to bake the classic during my parents’ weekend visit to Austin!

Here is her recipe – The Tried and True “Mom’s Banana Nut Bread”

This is the recipe I wrote down and kind of followed –
The low-carb and very moist Healthy Banana Bread:
My variations:
– almond flour instead of flour (about 2.5 cups)
– added nuts and chocolate
(In hindsight I probably should have just made tweaks on Mom’s version, but I like to freestyle so here we are.)
