This peanut butter bread is truly spectacular so please try baking it; if you’re a peanut butter fanatic, I promise you’ll be in love with it!
Here’s the recipe, from the Fanny Farmer Cookbook:
2 cups white flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup peanut butter (crunchy is best!)
1 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a bread pan. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl; then, add the peanut butter, milk, and egg. Mix until all ingredients are well blended, then spoon the batter (it will be sticky and thick) into the pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out almost clean.
