hello everyone and welcome back to my
channel today we will be making
gingersnap cookies so I have 3/4 of a
cup of butter here and I’m just gonna
beat it until it gets nice light and
fluffy so for about a minute
okay so it’s been about a minute and it
looks pretty fluffy so we are gonna go
ahead and add our half a cup of brown
sugar and half a cup of granulated white
sugar and we’re gonna give that two to
three minutes so it can fully be
incorporated you want this playdough
type texture but not really a little
more smoothness to it and now we are
going to add a quarter cup of molasses
and to help it come out easier you want
to add oil to whatever you’re using to
get it like that it’s easier for it to
come out so we’re going to now beat this
together
[Music]
okay so this has been mixed well
together so to this we are going to add
a teaspoon of ginger with a teaspoon of
vanilla and we’re gonna add to a two
large eggs so I’m happy to hear two cups
of flour you are going to add a teaspoon
of baking soda a teaspoon of cinnamon
half a teaspoon of ground clove and half
a teaspoon of salt and you’re just going
to mix this together so I have mixed our
dry ingredients together so in small
batches you’re gonna add this to the wet
and you want to do in small batches
because you don’t want to create balls
so it is now finished all the
ingredients are in here and this is what
it’s supposed to look like I’m gonna go
ahead and add this to a ziploc bag and
chill it for 30 minutes up to an hour
but best results chilly overnight and
just do it the next day okay so what
you’re gonna do is make a little bowl
with the cookie dough and then take
white granulated sugar and just coat it
with the sugar and flatten it out just a
little bit to help with flattening it
out in the oven and then you just want
to sprinkle a little more sugar over the
top of each cookie you’re gonna bake
this in the 350 degree oven so the
cookies are now done if you want them
crunchy you have to leave them in the
oven for 15 minutes but if you want them
chewy you have to leave it in the oven
for 10 to 12 minutes
