[Music]hi g’s playhousemy name is andrew and today we are goingto practice ourmeasuring skills and to do that we aregoing to make our ownlittle personal personal size pancakesuh and be practicing some of ourfractions and uhdoing some measuring of some dry andliquid ingredientsto make our pancakes so let’s followalong and try it outto make our pancakes we’re gonna need acouple different materialsfirst is a pansecond we’ll need a couple differentmeasuring spoonstwo bowls one for our dry ingredientsone for our wetand a fork to do some mixingthe ingredients we’ll be using today areall purpose flourwhole wheat flour quickcooking oats baking powdersalt eggsoil milkand non-stick cooking spray firstingredient we’re gonna need our dryingredients so we are gonna use twotablespoons of flourso what i like to do is take our flourand get abig scoop like thiswe’re gonna do is use the back of abutter knife andflatten it out so that we can just haveoneperfect tablespoon just like thisso that’s onenow we’re gonna do one moreso make sure that we have our flowerfilled up all the way the top we don’twant a largeamount like that so we want to flattenit off just like thisso two tablespoonsnext we need one tablespoon of wholewheat flour this is like white flour butit hassome extra nutrients in it so we’regoing to do is doour whole scoop like thisand we’re just going to level it offwith the back of our knifeso now we have a nice flat scoop and wecan add thatinto our dry ingredientsnext we’re going to use our oats sowe’re going to do the samething one scoop these are a little bitmore chunky so we’ll just try our bestto flatten it outand we’ll add one more tablespoonnext we’re going to use our bakingpowder because this is going to make ourpancakes nice and fluffyso we need a half of a teaspoontsp is short for teaspoon so just likewe did with the flour we’re going to geta scoopand then level it off full scoopand just kind of level it off in the lidthereso add that in last of our dryingredients is going to be our salt i’mgoing to interrupt real quick because ineed to correct a mistake from the videotodaywhile i was measuring the salt i used aspoon like thisto put it in but we actually only needabout a pinch so what you can do is justtakea pinch of salt so just a little bit andthat’s about all we needfor this recipe because we are makingsuch a small amountso in the recipe just use a pinch ofsaltall right thanks and do is take ouringredients and just mix them up withour fork so all of our dry ingredientsare mixed up and we’ll just set thataside over herenow the next ingredient we’re going touse is our eggso we need to crack our egg and put itinto this bowlwhat i like to do to crack an egg isjust have a cutting board hereand we’re going to tap it gently on thecutting boardjust until we hear a crack and thenwe’re going to putthe yolk and the white carefully in thebowl so we’ll tapgot a little crack there so you can seethat there’s a little bit of crack andwe’re going to do is just use our thumbsand gently pull apart the shelland then we want to make sure we lookmake sure we didn’t get any shells inthere so it looks like we’re goodwhat i want to do now is break this upwith our fork so i’m just going tostir this until our yolk is all brokenupso we’re just going to whisk this with afork untilour egg is all nice and runnylooks good to methe next thing we’re going to need isour 1 tablespoon and we need to putmilk in one tablespoonthen we’re gonna use one teaspoon canolaoilso i’m just going to carefully fill thisup until we get to the topall right and dump that in now that wehave all of our liquid ingredients inhere i’m going tomix them all up together with our forkonce it’s all mixed we can combine ourliquid and dry ingredientsso now i have both of our ingredientshere our dryingredients that we measured and ourliquid ingredients that we measuredso what i’m going to do now is take ourliquid ones and pour it into ourdry ingredients carefullyso now we’ve got all that out what i’mgoing to do ismix thisalright so now we have our pancakebatter now we need to cook our pancakesso i’m going to turn ourburner on to medium heatso that’s number five on mine so thiswill heat upand while this is heating up i’m gonnaspray our pan with our cooking spray sojust very carefullyspray it because we don’t want anysticky pancakesnow that our pan is nice and hot i’mgonna use ourpersonal pancake batter to make twopancakes so we’re gonna pour half of itin herehaving a spatula here would help i canget a little bit more out of itso now that there are some bubblesforming on herethat means that our pancakes are readyto flip so we’re going to carefullywith a spatula scoot under here and flipthem overand we’ll let this sit for a couple moreminutes to cook all the way throughnow that the other side of our pancakeshave been cooking for a little bitwe can check to make sure that they’reall cooked and it looks like they are sothese areready to eatall right so here are our pancakes wemade todaywe practice some of our measuring forbaking we practice some mixinghow to crack an egg how to tell ifpancakes are done and when to flipso hopefully you’ve learned somethingtoday i’m gonna stop now and enjoy mypancakes i like to add eat them withjust a little bit of butterbut you could add things like maplesyrup or if you have likeblueberries syrup or anything like thatdifferent berries yogurt is a goodchoice to put on top soi hope you like iti’ll see you next time
