my name is Olivia Luce I’m from BooneCounty and I am the owner and operatorof back red Baker custom cookies I’vebeen doing backward Baker and makingdecorated cookies for about six yearsnow I also work part time for myfamily’s business we sell Pioneer seedand crop insuranceit’s called blue seed and insurance I doeverything out of my house and and Ijust do it out of my home kitchen mysingle oven and nothing special I justdo it one batch at a time I had somebodycomment I mean about nine hundred and socookies for Christmas this year andsomebody posted how did you bake all ofthose cookies and I said just one batchso it’s nothing special but it’s justout of my house and that’s how you so mycookie is your traditional soft vanillasugar cookie the process starts withusing a thicker icing to do a borderthat’s your traditional piping icing andyou’re basically building the dam andthen you’re gonna fill it in with athinner I seen which is made just byadding more water to the pipe II and Iseem to thin it down and that’s referredto as flood I’ve seen and so you floodin the cookie and kind of fill in aroundthat that dam so it doesn’t you knowfall off of the edges of the cookietypically for each holiday I try tooffer four to five different options butin each of those options there’smultiple designs so for example forEaster I’m offering a box of minicookies that has ten different designsin it or a box of you know a littlebunny holding a sign that’s threedifferent designs probably over 100different designs easily each year ifnot far above that it just reallydepends on what the theme is a lot of myorders will be for bridal shower it’sbaby shower its birthday parties so someof those designs get repurposed andreused in each set but especially forlike kids birthday parties there’s amillion different ways Americans canchoose to celebrate their kids birthdayparties so I’ve done everything from acircus theme to mermaid themed a farmanimal theme toyou know once based on books I mean Ithere’s no way to just to predict whatparents make much for their kidsbirthday parties so those can varygreatly so I do usually around 150 to200 a week and that could bury if I geta wedding order you know I had a weddingorder last fall that was over 400cookies I’m a notorious control for youwhen it comes to my cookies so yeah so Ihave always done every single cookie Iand I do take some probably probably toomuch pride in the fact that I touchevery single cookie is it all comes fromme and and yeah I am my family makes funof me because even when I should accepthelp I don’t[Music]
