The Halloween season may just be gearing up, but we’re already looking ahead to the holiday season and the returns of all of our favorite holiday favorites.
At the top of the list is Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship which has become a staple for the network and for food TV lovers each holiday season since its debut years ago. As the name suggests, the series is a celebration of holiday baking with each week challenging the season’s bakers to create tasty treats inspired by holiday flavors, classic holiday treats and seasonal decor.
While there is a competitive element to the season, the contestants always display a true sense of comradery and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than with elegant and playful holiday-inspired desserts!
As we look ahead to the holiday season, we’ve rounded up everything fans need to know about the next season of Holiday Baking Championship including when to expect new episodes, this season’s judges and more!
How many episodes are in Holiday Baking Championship season 8?
It is expected that the upcoming eighth season of Holiday Baking Championship will consist of 8-9 episodes. During the show’s early seasons, most seasons ran for eight episodes; however, in recent years the show has instead aired 9-episode seasons. As a result, we should be getting another 8-9 episode season this holiday season.
Holiday Baking Championship 2021 judges
Across the first six seasons of the show, Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale served as the show’s staple of judges. However, in season 7 the judging panel welcomed a new judge as Carla Hall replaced Lorraine at the judges’ table.
Heading into season 8, it’s expected that both Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman will be returning as judges for season 8. What remains unclear is who will be joining them as the show’s third judge.
It’s possible Carla Hall will return to judge this season, but it’s also possible Kardea Brown could make her Holiday Baking Championship debut as a judge this season. After all, Kardea did step in as a judge on the show’s companion series Spring Baking Championship earlier this year making her a favorite to return to the panel for the show’s holiday cycle.
Holiday Baking Championship 2021 release date
Food Network has not yet confirmed a release date for season 8; however, new seasons have traditionally debuted on the first Monday of November. Should Food Network continue this trend with season 8, the new season of Holiday Baking Championship should arrive Monday, Nov. 1, 2021.
