Tips to achieve flaky crust:
1) Butter and shortening must be chilled, this is to prevent the butter melt in the process of mixing. As far as possible not to use hand to mix, especially in tropical country like Singapore.
2) When rolling out the dough, place the cling film below and on top of the dough, this will prevent the dough sticking to the rolling pin.
3) For beginner, use a smaller diameter pie dish to start with.
