Easy Patriotic Pie
1 Frozen deep dish Pie Crust, thawed
1 Refrigerated Pie Crust
¾ of a cup of sour cream
3 tablespoons sugar
3 Egg Yolks, divided
1-2 Cans of Cherry Pie Fulling
1 Can Blueberry Pie Filling
1 Tablespoon milk
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Mix the Sour cream, sugar and 2 egg yolks and pour it into the thawed frozen pie crust.
Spoon the Cherry Pie Filling into two thirds of the pie crust and spoon the Blueberry on the other third. You will likely only need one and a half cans of cherry pie filling.
Then, roll out your refrigerated piecrust and, with star cookie cutters cut 5 to 8 stars (depending on the size of your cutters) out of the dough. With a paring knife, cut several stripes out of the dough as well. Place one of the stripes along the dividing line between the flavors, and the rest of the stripes on the cherry side of the pie and the stars on the blueberry side.
Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes. Check at the 30 minute mark to make sure the stars and stripes are not getting too brown, if they are placed some foil loosely over the top of the pie and continue baking.
