So creamy on the inside! Preparing it is super easy!
INGREDIENTS
Syrup:
• 250g sugar • 170ml water • 1 tsp cinnamon • Juice of half a lemon
Filling:
• 700ml milk • 100g sugar • 60g starch • 60g semolina flour • 4 eggs • 50g butter • Lemon zest or vanilla essence
METHOD
Pour milk into a saucepan over low heat, add sugar, semolina, starch and mix. Add vanilla and butter, and mix until it thickens. Add zest and lemon juice.
Place a puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet. Pour the mixture on top and spread over the entire tray. Place another sheet of puff pastry on top. Make slight diagonal cuts into the top.
Spread egg yolk over the puff pastry top. Bake for 35 minutes at 180ºC (356ºF).
Pour water, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice in a pot and heat until you get a syrup. Pour the syrup over the cooked pie.
