[Music]hi guys I’m Laura Vitale you know thisepisode of Laura in the kitchen I wantto share with you how to make some pecanpie brownies or pecan pie brownies it’sjust a mash-up of good brownies and agood pecan pie filling on top baketogether it’s a total perfection and Ireally don’t think that there’s a betterbrownie for this season because I don’tknow about you but when it comes to likeThanksgiving pecan pie is one of myabsolute favorite must-haves and I thinkthis is a really great way to combinelike a brownie treat and a pecan pie ifyou’re going to a party which if you arewhere’s my invite how rude so let meshow you with you what I’ve got going onyou because I’ve got some explaining todo I’ve got some brownie batter hereokay now if you’ve been following me fora while you know a couple years backaround the holiday season I shared withyou how to make brownie mix and keep itin the pantry so what I did is I did twobatches of that because you want to makesure that whatever brownie makes you’reusing whether it be homemade orstore-bought it is the kind that fits ina nine by thirteen if yours fits in anine by nine or an eight by eight you’regonna have to double the recipe to fit anine by thirteen so that’s what I’ve gotgoing on here but hey store-boughtbrownie mix you go girl I mean I don’treally care brownie and so long as it’sa good you know something to enjoy thatbrand then it’s fine and I have that inand I’m sorry not by thirteen that I’velined with parchment sprayed with alittle bit of nonstick spray don’t bejealous of my parchment cutting skills Iknow very advanced but you know it iswhat it is I’ve got my oven preheated to350 now depending on the brownie mixthat you are using so say you’re using astore-bought that takes in a 9 by 13maybe 45 minutes to cook you’re gonnawant to put them in there for 20 minutesbecause once you put the filling on topand needs to go back in for 25 minutesso what I’m actually gonna do right nowis I’m gonna pop these into my oventhose are start baking for 20 minutesand in the meantime we make our fillingand then we proceed to topping them andputting them back in and while that’s inthere we’re gonna just start on thefilling you’re gonna need brown sugargranulated sugar and some flour add thatto a bowlit’s my brownie batter I got to a bowlalong with someto butter there’s also a little pinch ofsugar in there as well corn syrup lightcorn syrup if you don’t want to use cornsyrup you can use honey or you can usemaple syrup all would be fantasticadmittedly it would be a lot moreexpensive but it would taste deliciousand who cares right I’m gonna crack acouple of eggs I’m gonna add a couple ofeggs to this beautiful – these are ourbeautiful fresh eggs can’t beat it andthen a really good splash of vanillaextract I want to make sure you’re usinggood vanilla you know the kind with alot of beans in it and then I’m gonnamix this really really well and thenI’ll add in cons or pecans whatever youwant to call it beautiful beautifulbeautiful and then we’re gonna add in mypecans you want to just fold them inreally really well who loves pecan pieraise your hand leave a hand-up emojidown below listen don’t be mad at me butI like it way more than pumpkin I’msorry I know I knowpumpkin lovers out there or like I’vehad a half but I do I can’t help it I doI love a good pecan pie it’s sticky it’snuttyit’s everything I love and so much moreso it’s a favorite can I say so when youtalk about a fudgy brownie and a pecanpie feeling together when they getmarried they come up with this nowsomething I want to warn you too thebrownies will be very fudgy becauseyou’re gonna have a lot of the moisturefrom the pecan pie filling seeping intothe brownies so if you are a fan offudgy browniesjust you wait this will be your newfavorite things so here’s what I’m gonnado because I want to waste your timethat’s in there for 20 minutes I’m gonnapull it out pop the filling on top andput it back in there for 25 minutes andthen we’re gonna let it cool completelybecause it does need to be cooledcompletely before you go and cut themand serve them so that’s all I’m gonnado I want to bring you back here justfor that but remember 20 minutes pullthem out and put the filling on top popthem back in for 25 minutes and you’llbe so thankful after you get thisyou do this and you get to eat them allright so these just came out of the ovenabout an hour to ago I let them coolpretty much completely now to recap weput the brownie batter in for 20 minuteswe took it out we put the pecan piefilling on top popped it back in foranother 25 minutes or so don’t overcookthis what I did do is I just trim theedges just a tiny tiny bit only becausethe syrup and the sugar in the fillingsort of chips down to the side and getsa little bit too harsh of a crust so Ialways remove those but hey if you are acorner brownie person then you wouldlove the crust I know Joe does so I saveit for him but and I told you earlierthese are not gonna be cakey these aregonna be really fuzzy because oh this issmelling insane because the liquid thethe moisture see kind of seeps down fromthe pecan pie fillingright into the brownies I’m telling youit’s gonna be very very hard to find abetter brownie for this seasonadmittedly easiest thing to cut andserve because you know oh mine but Iwant you to see this this is like myidea of heaven okaymorning like truly the best of all worldI promisebut I Laurie in addition TOCOM it’s veryvery good got the recipe you will be thestar of whatever party you bring thesetwo I   4. Laura- This is a great idea! Thank you! I’m going to try this. I love the corners of brownies best! I won’t explain how big I cut the brownies, nor how many “corners” I create from them! Happy Thanksgiving to you & the family.

  5. Having a craft day with my girls and taking this today. They are about to come out of the oven. Although I must confess, I used a brownie mix and also added a tbsp of Amareto to both parts. Can’t wait to try!
