We first tried this dessert during our trip to San Jose, California way back in 2007. My daughter was the first one to re create it when we came home and it is now a staple during summertime and anytime especially during holiday season. Please try it at home and if you’re pressed for time, just use the pre-made graham pie crust. You will be surprise as how easy it is to make.

hello everyone for this episode we havea very very very yummy dessert which ispeople for the summer since strawberryis abundant during the summer time thisis a very special request from a goodfriend of ours who now lives inSingapore we tasted it when we went ontour California that was less 2017 sothe cousin of my husband giving us thethis reserve during dinner time at theirhouse inside to say California so thankyou of Singapore this is for you so whatwe need we have to make the drum piecrust you would be able to master youcan just buy this one pre-made alreadyyou can find it in grocery stores evenin dollar stores there we have this oneor if you don’t have it you can make ityour own what you need for a pie crustwould be this nice big graham crackersokay there’s a pack of this for sevenpacks of this one andsix tablespoons of the melted butteralso the 1/4 cup of sugar so we have tocrush all of this put it in all thegraham crackers and that’s whatprocessor if or if you don’t have oneyou can just mash it yourself inside acellophane or is it black bug okay butthis one if you have this the foodprocessor with the graham crackersalready in crumbs we’re gonna be addingon the six tablespoons of the meltedbutterand 1/4 cup of the granulated sugarwe’re going to press this on our fiveway so this is the then press it tomake sure you press it down togetherit’s okay you can use your hands or yourpalms and I put the back end of yourhands so that you would be able to getinto the base tightly so this is morelike itand we’re gonna put it in the fridgeover here for the chilling process nowthis is the second part there’s no bigstrawberry pie what we’re gonna do iseverybody cut up all these strawberriesmake sure that you’re going to wash thisproperly because there are there’s alittle bit of sand that goes throughwith itI guess it’s grown in a sandy soil soyou have to put them in so here it isthere’s about 1 and 1/2 a cup of cut upstrawberries andand I put the water and if you don’thave a blender you can just mush ityourself but I wanted a little bitfaster it’s a very quick one in here ifyou do have one then put it here on thesauce bunnies on one cup of the sugartogether with that strawberry puree orlash onethen we create the boil and don’t forgetto constantly spear it so that it won’tstick to the bottom this is almost onthe boiling point and if you are herewith me you can smell the smell of thestrawberry and almost paste it by justthe smell of this so if you did themashing only of this one not in heredoing the puree then you might as wellkeep on mashing it as wellpressing the spoon on the side with inbetween all of those mash strawberrythat you have so you can see it’s nowboiling and thisnow we’re going to pass it through thesieve just keep on pressing it so thatyou would get all the juices in therethere’s almost no juice here left so butdon’t throw this away completely becauseyou can make use of this as a jam sothis mixture has to be put back into thesaucepan then we’ll have maybe about atablespoon of the water then put thecorn starts there because we can thecornstarch back into that mixturebecause it’s hotso make sure to mix this well and thenwe’re gonna turn on this again it’s gotto be on medium on in hipsand cooperate the cornstarchthe next stop stirring the mixture as ithas readied the cornstarch in it so makesure that you keep on steering it untilit’s going to be taken like this so thisis already fake and turn off the stoveand then set this aside we have to makesure that this one to cool off before wehave to put it on top of thestrawberriesso when waiting for these to come up wehave to check if our graham pie crust isalready donegood now it seems like the butter itacts like the paste for this groundrehearsals okay now the star of the showwhich is our most people would like tohave them only in full but I’d like thebite-sized pieces so I always cut it inhalf even though they’re pretty smallsome of these are small but it’s so hardto eat the whole strawberry so we’rejust gonna line it up arrange itproperly this is what we’re gonna doit’s up to you and how you’re going tobe arranging all the stuff there are norules here this is perfect already weare now ready to put a nice mixture justhave to drizzle opening on top of thestrawberry nicewell put it back in the fridge chill itfor about two hours and it’s been herefor a couple hours alreadywe are expecting I have clear instead ofme whipping the cream so I already had awhipped cream so you can buy this ingrocery stores it’s available everywhereand if not just to do it in cream itselfso just shake it[Music]no big strawberry find it’s a breeze tome and you can do itand now the moment of truth just leaveit up to our expectation so you can putmore let’s of course we’re gonna serveyou believe if you have an ice cream athome or a movie later on we’re gonnashare you also another block we’re inyou can meet ice cream without an icecream maker at home okay so we love herethis is the only thing that’s been leftfor what we did it’s this is astrawberry flavored ice cream we alreadydid a mango panna it is very creamy sowe’re gonna share this with you as welllater on so this is what they call thesweetness overload and strawberryoverload indeedso here it is the moment of truth it’sstill the same it’s really really goodso you can taste the graham crackersthat’s gonna be the crust and then ofcourse it elevates the piece ofstrawberry because it put in also thepureed strawberry in there and plus thefact that we do have a strawberry icecream also
