How about we learn to make Ela Ada in a few simple steps ?Wouldn’t it be the perfect snack this Onam season .
The good thing is I’m not the one making it .The chef at my Ayurveda place is an awesome cook and here he is doing his thing .

Ingredients for Ela Ada /
Steamed Banana leaf pancakes with sweet stuffing
Rice flour
Salt
Water
Bananas
Grated coconut
Cumin
Jaggery
Cardamom powder
Recipe
Boil water with salt
Make a mixture of rice flour and boiled water
Shut stove off while mixing
Knead the dough
In another plate ,slice up bananas
Add grated coconut ,cumin,jaggery and cardamom powder
Mix it well.
Put steamer for boiling .
Flatten the dough on a banana leaf with the help to water
Add the banana mixture on top of the flattened dough
Fold the banana leaf with dough filling into nice packets
Once water in steamer is boiling place the packets into the steamer
Ela Ada is ready in 10 minutes .
Once ready shut stove off and wait for a few minutes
And now Enjoy eating it!!!
