[Music]hi welcome to my kitchen and welcome tomy channel cake I’m your hostess Suzannetoday we’re going to try somethingdifferent a little experiment we’regonna make some chocolate cards andpoppin cookies we’re going to attemptthem I think you gotta know the outcomethey come out amazing if you like toknow how I made them and I can make themto just keep watching okay you guys I’mso excited to make this recipe with youguys today I really don’t even knowchocolate crumbs Akaka cookies exist andthey didn’t before they do now eversince I made this cake for Carla for herwedding I couldn’t get it off my mind issuch a great cookie you guys it reallyisn’t it’s it’s crisp it yet chewyinside but yet Airy it’s reallydifferent and it’s gluten free sothere’s a bonus there’s and of courseKaitlyn my daughter-in-law is glutenfree so this is a gluten-free dessertsand she loves dessert so I’m trying tothink of all the things I can make forher and this came to my mind so whatI’ve done is I typically for theconsignee use 4 cups of powdered sugarand for this chocolate version I justsubstituted a half a cup of the cocoapowder in place of a half a cup of thepowdered sugar you need to make thisbatter at least eight hours or the daybefore you’re going to bake your cookiesso just a heads up you can’t make thisall in one sittingokay I have my food processor here youguys it just makes it so much easier touse and then if you don’t have a foodprocessor you can do this in stages inyour blender that will work just as wellso we’re gonna go ahead and put our 1poundalmonds in our food processor and theygum now let’s go ahead and grind them upit’s almost there but not quitelook continue that looks pretty goodlet’s go ahead and add our 3 D half cupsof powdered sugar 1/2 a cup of cocoapowder and dash of saltlet’s go ahead and get these combined[Music]did you guys see that pup that looksdelicious already let’s go ahead and addour three egg whites and our almond andvanilla extracts and get those combinedas well the food processor did all I cando let’s do the rest by hand looks likewe’re having getting down and dirty withour hands oh that’s just fine with mei portioned out my chocolate cause thecaca cookie dough in two forks and Ihave them wrapped in some cling wrap andI will stick them in the frigeratorovernight I’ll see you tomorrow tocomplete these amazing cookies see youin a second okay it is the next day andour cookie dough has been chili forabout 24 hours here is our beautifulcookie dough isn’t this beautiful BrownI love it I have preheated my oven to300 degrees I have two cookie sheetshere ready to rock and roll if you don’thave the silicone pads you can go aheadand just use parchment paper or somenonstick spray go ahead and porch it upa little bit of this cookie dough I gaveyou guys I’ve never done this beforeit’s just a thought my brain I hope thatworks out really good and we just rollthese into about your pinky size[Music]just continue rolling and rolling androlling up it looks like tootsie roll tome yeah unlike the cake these don’t haveto be perfectly the same size but youguys probably know me well enough findout – no I want them all to be perfectlythe same size I bought this about a yearago I think I can’t cut straight to savemy life and a cat cut even slices so Ibought this and I’ve only used it oneother time I use it on a de maízretirement cake to make the post-itnotes and I’m going to use it againbecause I have it and we’re gonna justportion it out I guess that’s about twoand a half inches I think I’m just gonnaset it on it that goes straight now ish[Music]here we go maybe around on those edgesjust a little bit I think that’s gonnabe a perfect size little cookie ourfirst pan is done I’m going to stickthem in my preheated oven I preheated to300 degrees for exactly 20 minutes seeyou guys in a secondmy chocolate crumbs Akaka cookies areout of the oven and they’re cooling onthese cooling racks and I place thecooling racks inside a big cookie sheetyou’ll see why here in a second let’s goahead and give these a little bit of asweet little drizzle okaysince the Kasbah coffee cake has apowdered sugar and water little drizzleon it we’re gonna do the same thing forthe cookies and then we’re gonna do acherry version as wellchocolate and cherries go together YUMyep so we’re gonna do both of those Ijust have I didn’t measure you guys Itook two of these heaping tablespoons ofpowdered sugar here in this bowl andwe’re just gonna now we’re just going totake a little bit of water until we getthe right consistency it doesn’t takemuch a lot of you guys but the beautifulthing is is if you put too much waterjust add more powdered sugar that looksjust about right isn’t that prettythat looks just about right I have asmall Milton’s decorators back here Ihave tipped off the end of just a littlebit folded it up and put it in thisglass it’s just easy to fill it whenyou’re just a one-person operationokay let’s go ahead and frost these itdoesn’t take much so I probably haveabout two tablespoons with a frostinghere where’s this exact back and forthlike thatI think these chocolate Kwanzaa conquercookies look so good what do you guysthink you think I should try one oh Ithink I’m going to I try to cherry onethat’s the most intriguing to me let’sgo ahead and take a bite hmm very veryvery good they’re crunchy on the outsideand I am chewy ish on the inside reallyreally good the cherry is not over veryI might not even know that it was cherryif I didn’t make it myself it’s reallyreally good thoughand then we’ll do this one again Kaitlynis going to love these cookies you guysremember these are gluten-free so theonly one in your life that’s gluten-freemaking these cookies they’re gonna loveyou foreveryou guys this the options are endlesswith this type of cook you guys whocould make the dip them in chocolateroll of is some nuts or roll mints andmini chocolate chips or some jimmies youcould like I said the options areendless and it’s a nice base cookie andagain gluten free can’t go wrong thereright and it’s not that difficult tomake just a few ingredients as well andthank you guys so
