RECIPE OF CHICKEN BRAIDED BREAD
INGREDIENTS FOR YEAST:
Yeast (khameer): 1 ½ tbsp.
Sugar: 1 tsp
Warm water: as required
METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients and place in warm place for 15 minutes.
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:
Flour: 2 cup
Yeast (khameer): 1 ½ tbsp.
Sugar: 1 ½ tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Milk: ¼ cup
Egg: 1
Oil: 2 tbsp.
METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients and make a dough and place in the warm place for 1 hour.
INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN FILLING:
Chicken: 1 cup (boiled and shredded)
Butter: 2 tbsp.
Flour: 2 tbsp.
Milk: 1 cup
Salt: 1 tsp
Black pepper: 1 tsp
Capsicum (chimla mirch): ½ cup (chopped)
Cheese: 1 cup
METHOD
In a pot, add butter, let it melt then add flour and salute little until its color changes. Now add milk whish continuously to avoid any lumps formation. Then add black pepper and salt and mix it. Add boiled and shredded chicken. And mix well.
ASSEMBLING:
Knead dough then roll out the dough into a rectangular shape with the help of rolling pin. Place the filling in the center of the dough. Make slits/cuts with the help of knife on both of the longer sides. Start bringing the top most slit end across from each other alternately. Keep going, remember to alternate, left to right and right to left. Now apply egg-wash sprinkle nigella (kalonji). Then bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 20-25 minutes.
Your yummy chicken braided bread is ready to eat.
