*No Talk / No Music* Pandesal Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce (Cooking Sounds)
Hey lovelies~! It seems everybody’s making their own homemade pandesal since the quarantine started and y’all been loving the pandesal recipes I’ve been putting out as of late. Making pandesal can be challenging for some but it is always fun and rewarding 🙂 You might be baking for your family or probably starting a business and I know from experience that there will always be leftovers. Here’s a recipe to save those week old pandesals you have sitting on your pantry. Making bread pudding is one of the most practical and delicious ways to save those delicious pandesals you worked so hard to make. This recipe also works for any bread so feel free to use those too!
How to Make Pandesal Bread Pudding with Simple Vanilla Sauce
Pan: 23 x 15 cm (9 x 6 inches)
Preheated Oven: 175°C (350°F)
Bake Time: 40 – 45 minutes

INGREDIENTS:
~~Pandesal Bread Pudding~~
10 pcs. PANDESAL, STALE (5-7 day old) *use plain pandesal. I know trendy ube pandesals are popular but a classic pandesal works best in this recipe.
3 large EGGS
28 g (2 tbsp) BUTTER, MELTED *salted and unsalted butter is fine to use
50 g (1/4 cup) BROWN SUGAR
100 g (1/2 cup) GRANULATED SUGAR
3 g (1 tsp) CINNAMON POWDER
1 g (1/4 tsp) NUTMEG
5 ml (1 tsp) VANILLA EXTRACT
237 ml (1 cup) EVAPORATED MILK/WHOLE MILK
240 g (1 cup) ALL PURPOSE CREAM
Soak 30 minutes – 8 hours *if you are soaking overnight, cover with a plastic wrap and leave it to soak in the fridge.
~~Simple Vanilla Sauce~~
28 g (2 tbsp) BUTTER *salted and unsalted butter is fine to use. I don’t taste the difference if you ask me
125 g (1 cup) CONFECTIONER’S SUGAR (a.k.a. Powdered Sugar)
15 g (2 tbsp) CORNSTARCH *reduce to 1 tbsp if you want a thinner sauce.
10 ml (2 tsp) VANILLA EXTRACT
237 ml (1 cup) EVAPORATED MILK/WHOLE MILK
