No Bake Spanish Bread
Spanish Bread Without Oven
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
3 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour – 24php
1 tsp Salt – .5php
1 cup Warm Milk – 15php
2 tsp Yeast – 4php
1/2 cup Sugar – 10php
1 large Egg – 8php
1 tsp Vanilla – 2php
1/3 cup Butter – 12php
Filling:
1/2 cup Butter or Margarine – 21php
1/2 cup Sugar – 10php
1 cup Flour – 6.25php
1/3 cup Milk Powder – 10php
1/2 cup Cheese – 18php
Gas & Utilities – 25php
Yield: 32 pcs
Total: 166.75php
Cpy: 5.21php
SRP: 8-10php per pc
Procedure:
Dough Part 1:
1. Combine warm milk, sugar and yeast. Let activate for 15 mns.
2. Combine flour and salt in another bowl.
3. After 15 mns, add egg and vanilla into yeast mixture.
4. Mix wet and dry ingredients.
5. Lastly, add the butter or margarine.
6. Knead for 15 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
7. Grease a bowl, cover and rest dough for 1 hour.
Filling:
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Make a dough consistency.
3. Divide to 32 pcs.
Dough Part 2:
1. After resting, divide dough to 32 pcs.
2. Flatten each and add filling.
3. Roll to make spanish bread.
4. Pinch to secure.
5. Coat with bread crumbs.
6. Cover and let rise for 1 1/2 hrs.
Cooking:
1. Heat a large pot or pan on high for 5 mns.
2. Place a metal stand inside.
3. Cook bread on medium low for 15-18 mns.
4. Or bake on 170c for 15-18 mns.
