good morning a warm welcome to everybodyif you guys are all awesome today yeah Ijust want to share something that’s justbeen on my heart and I think it’llreally bless you guys and I think it’ssomething that’s God’s busy doing inthis time and for me God’s been speakingabout many things but I think one thingthat I really have enjoyed in this timeis John the Baptistyou know just picture those John theBaptist he’s out in the wildernesshe’s eating locusts you know he’s adifferent guy he’s not he’s not yournormal job okay and you know he’swearing different clothes and and he’sjust very different and but people seeand they’re 19 of God on him I just seethat this guy has got something specialyou know and as as we just joined thisjourney with John the Baptist we’regonna shift a little bit into the OldTestament and look at a bit of acomparison in the Book of Micah but Ithink what what my heart is is that thefire of the Holy Spirit would reallyconsume you with truth and and we’ll getinto to what that is I’ve got a coupleof props here with me we’re gonna lookat those just a little bit just now okayso I look three verses 4 to 6 basicallyjust just to give you some context allof now John this is a bit of a differentnote so what’s happening is all thereligious leaders are coming to him andasking who are you will you in thescripture what place do you have in inthis whole thing because they used toeverybody has to bow to the religioussystem to to have anysay but John the Baptist is not like thereligious system he speaks withauthority Inez and and and theyrecognized that there’s something on hislife but they can’t quite figure him outbecause he’s not like the rest okay andso it says Luke 3 verses 4 to 6 now thisis John John replying as it is writtenin the book of the words of Isaiah theprophet the voice of one crying in thewilderness prepare the way of the Lordok so his purpose is to prepare the wayof the Lordokay and then he says make his pathsstraight okay so I just want you tothink of this as making like a roadwaytowards Jesus you know he’s he’s makingit easy for people to accept Jesus andthen in verse 5 it says every Valleyshall be full and every mountain andHill shall be made low and the crookedshall become straight and the roughplaces shall become level ways now thatthis I just want you to think of of thehigh placesok so says ok let’s start with with asit starts every Valley shall be filledok so I want you to think of this interms of its let’s just open up aspiritual world a little bit we see thata valley is a representation of a lowplace what can that be you know a a lowplace is is like depression for instanceit’s if I had to put a label on on a lowplace I would sayhaving been convinced that life was notworth living and this is the low placeis is your is the root of depressionit’s the root of suicide it’s the rootof so many things the it’s it’s the it’slet let let me just say that again at alow place is a place where you’ve lostthe value of life you don’t feel likeit’s worth living okay now what what isthe high place and every mountain andHill shall be made low okay so you knowwhen you packed out of a place of ofarrogance that is and just selfishnessthere is a high place okay you knoweverything to do with with thinking ofyour self above others racism could beconsidered a high place if you think ofcorruption that could be considered ahigh place you know you you are you areputting your standard of living aboveother people so this is a these are highplaces you could look at just justgeneral pride and arrogance rebellion isa high place and so these these are somethings that that that this isrepresenting and the crooked shallbecome straight nowI said corruption can be under a highplace but it can also be under a crookedplace so can every type of lie and andwickedness sometimes we are like oh it’sjust a wide like hood and how no there’sno such thing and these are some of thethings that that God says I’m gonnabring these down now I want to just chata little bit about how I feel like wecan just partner with himin bringing these places down in our ownlives and around us okay and the roughplaces shall become level ways care whatthe rough places you know that’s that’swe often you find when people have beenhurt they have a proficiency to be veryrough with people and they hurt othersas well and this this is this speaks ofan insensitivity it speaks of just aroughness and of character and uncaringand and this this is also something thatGod says I don’t want that on my rug Iwant a clear Road I want a smooth Roadisn’t that awesome God wants to build ahighway to Jesus and and and for me it’ssuch a beautiful thing because it tiesin with so much of the other scriptureyou know if you look at it John theBaptist now comes and he speaks to themand he’s like and he’s got very specificstuff that he says you know he hedoesn’t beat around the bush after thisbut let me read verse 6 just becauseit’s it’s really inspiring and and theheartbeat of what I’m saying and allflesh shall see the salvation of Godright we’re coming to Jesus we making apathway to Jesus and this pathway is forall people okay now let’s see how Johnstarts to address his his task to tomake a straight way for the Lord in andnow John the Baptist in verse 7 he saidtherefore to the crowds that came up tobe baptized by him he brood of viperswho warned you to flee from the wrath tocomefavorites and keeping with repentanceand do not begin to say to yourself wehave Abraham as our Father for I tellyou God is able from these stones toraise up children for Abrahameven now the ax is laid at the root ofthe trees every tree therefore that doesnot be good fruit is cut down and throwninto the fire okay so he’s he’s beingvery real with him he’s he’s saying youare not living you’re coming here to tome to be baptized but you have toaddress some areas in your life and Iwant to look at this a little bit in ina second you know I think John theBaptist we must realize the context isthat he had one tool he he had that ofof basically I would like to sayhammering people’s thoughts straightokay and I believe we have a much morepowerful weapon in math that’s beengiven to us by God but I’ll get there ina second you know just but just to to toput this as an idea in your headso the John the Baptist starts to toreally this is this is a this is a skewI don’t know if you can see it it’s abit of a skew nail okay all right youcan see that it’s it’s a bit skew and Iwould like to to represent this as as apicture of our thoughts and sometimesthese crooked ways this is thesehighways these low ways is I mean hisvalues his mountain so in essence theJohn the Baptist starts to use the toolthat he had at that time and that was toto bangus these thoughts into the lineso that Jesus can come in okay and endas he starts to to just chip awaypeople’s thoughts and they they comewith understandquestion they said what shall we do youknow they start to see see what ishappening and they said what shall we dookay and he gives him very practicaladvice for instance let’s let’s look atthose 14 soldiers also asked them andwhat shall we do and he said to them donot extort money from anyone by threatsor a false accusation and be contentwith your wages okay so he has John theBaptist giving a very clear picture ofrepentance in his time but I believethat we have a more powerful tool thanthe hammer and this time I believe thatthese is something that’s occurred anevent that occurred in scripture thathas changed everything and it happenedafter the time of John the Baptist okayso what is this toolwhat is it this thing that God has donethat has given us at a more powerful wayto – for us to change the way we seethings change to make it a straight pathfor Jesus Christ and I believe that isin let me read verse 16 and 17 Johnanswered them all saying i baptize youwith water but he who is mightier than Iis coming the straps of whose sandals Iam not worthy to untie he will baptizeyou with the Holy Spirit and fire hiswinnowing Fork is in his hand to clearhis threshing threshing floor and togather the wheat into his barn but thechaff he will burn with unquenchablefirefire God sent his the Holy Spirit andfire and Jesus is the Baptizer in theHoly Spirit and in fire this this isthis is the the power that we now haveto mount and to mold our thoughts intointo God thoughts to mold our lives intothe way that God wants it to to bringthe the valleys low and the and and thesorry to bring the valleys high and themountains low to bring the crookedplaces straight as an arrowto bring the rough places smooth and sowe like it that bad that tool can beused in this way that the hose we’velooked at it it burns away their chaffchaff is a picture of of stuff that’sthat’s useless for the purpose that Godhas given you okay so it burns it awaywe’ve already heard John say that okayso to my color Micah one and I startedthose two okay here you people’s all ofyou pay attention our earth and all thatis in it and let the Lord God be awitness against you the Lord from hisholy temple for behold the Lord’s comingout of his place and we’ll come down andshredder from the high places of theearth can remember that the high placeshe’s coming down to trade upon the highplaces of earth and the mountains willmelt under him there what they will meltunder him what is that that’s a fire ofthe Holy Spirit it God God is aconsuming fire these high places willmount under himand their valleys will be split openlike wax before the fire like waterspour down a steep place all this is forthe transgression of Jacob and for thesins of the house of Israel what is thetransgression of Jacob is it not Samariaand what is the high place of Judah isit not Jerusalem okay so he says I’mgonna come and I’m going to trample onthese places and I will melt though thehigh places okay and the the smeltingwill level things out that the valleyswill be filled the the rough places willbe smooth you know have you seen wax andthat’s that’s what I’d like to to usethe analogy now the Holy Spirit and firethat when the Holy Spirit comes it’s somuch better than trying to do thesethings are about out of our ownson infants you know the Holy Spirit isso much more powerful in in all his waysthan anything else we can hammer andhammer and hammer away at our our issuesand our sins are not and the things thatare wrong in our lives that the thingsthat are causing problems and I want tosay to you some of you may just be goingthrough tremendous stress at this timeand age and all of these things one ofthe biggest things that God wants tomount in your life is fear he wants tomount fear and anxiety you see Danielsorry in in the Book of DanielDaniel’s friends sorrythe namesin for a second then his friendsShadrach Meshach and Abednego right theythey came they would not bow to the thestatue that was sit up and Babylon atthat time it would not bow their knee toanything but God and because of it theking wanted to throw them oh he didn’twant to he did throw them in a fieryfurnace and it says that they heated upthe fiery furnace seven times hotterokay so the enemy also has a fire it’scalled it’s it’s and it’s filled withfear why seven times hotter normalfirewood will kill you that’s that’s notthe purpose that the reason he had inthe seven times hotter is because it itmakes it seven times more scaryyou-you-you think well Oh what chance doI havebut with the power of the holy spirityou are able to go through massive FieryFurnaces seven times hotter you see theworld tries to make things seven timeshotter doesn’t it sometimes but withoutfire of the holy spirit if you’ve gotthat inside of you it overwhelms theflames around you the flames inside ofyou will always overwhelm the flames areon the outside and they they get throwninto this fiery furnace and the Kinglooks there and they should becompletely burnt within half a secondeven the people throwing them into thefire who died of because of that furnacewas so hot but they see them walkingaround unharmed and more than that theysee a fourth one in it and he looks likethisit looks like he looks like Jesus Jesusisn’t this fiery furnace he he baptizesyou with a Holy Spirit and with fire andthat fire within you is stronger thanthe fire around me and that fire in youand the Holy Spirit reminds you that Godis with you and Jesus is with you in allthings so you don’t have to fear the thebeautiful thing about fire is a fewbeautiful things as that it it it bringssight you know the first thing that firedoes is is it brings sight you know youthere is a light that shines and thenthat speaks of the truth the Holy Spiritis the Spirit of Truth and and he shinesthings into your life and when everyonesays something everyone says that noGod’s not coming through for you theHoly Spirit will make that clear and hewill bring the Spirit of Truth with himisn’t that wonderful isn’t it wonderfulto know that that all of these theselies and these these bad intents thatthe enemy wants to to hit us with andbelieve me though the enemy is a veryactive and he is very concerned becauseyour life is a powerful tool for thekingdom of God yo yo you were createdfor a purpose and if the enemy can findand anything that he can do that’s whyyou’ve hit such hard opposition in Edenliving out your full core is because theenemy is afraid he is afraid of whathappens when you turn your life over toJesus he’s afraid when you’re the fireof the Holy Spirit comes upon youhe’s afraid when Holy Spirit starts toteach you all truth and starts to tellyou though you’re not that a uselessperson that the enemy’s been telling youabout you’re not this and that in theother or when Godto put things in perspective and saylearn and you’ve been very pridefulthere and and it keeps on making astumbling-stone for you some of you beenstumbling for so long and you think Godneeds to give you a miracle when itactually needs to just give you thelight of truth and you need to start tosee things in in perspective again thenext thing about fire that’s beautifulis that it it burns it burns it burnsit’s a picture of passion and you knowdo to be a burning one in this time tobe full of passion in for fire and andof light you know in the church there’sbeen so long way it’s been a boringboring kind of religious I don’t knowwhat to say but it has been run byprograms not by the Spirit of God but Itell you what there is something thatchanges when the Holy Spirit comes andhe is the spirit of creativity he is thespirit of life he is the spirit of hopehe is the teacher and just believe me heis the most fun teacher you have everever come across none of your none ofyour teachers at school come even closehe is the greatest teacher he is the onethat can you know usually really like ahyou know when someone rebukes us then wefeel bad he’s the one that can rebukeyou and you still know that you’re lovedhow about that anointing as well I wantto be able to talk the truth to peopleand just have them understand that Ilove them so it’s the fire is also forpassion the fire of the Holy Spirit isthe passion with which the Holy Spiritputs upon you and now going back to themy analogy of light and my mywhat I said about about Shadrach Meshachand Abednego is the fire will alwaysprotect youyou know life protects fire protects youknow if you have that in you it is yourprotection it’s your security it’s yourit’s your safe place it’s a lot ofpeople you know they they don’t havethat and I’ll tell you these a greatplace to have it and that is in thepower of the Holy Spirit and Fireokay so I want you to just do somethingwith me this is I always say faith is anaction and what what I want us to do isif you found that this Holy Spirit andthis this fire that brings thisprotection it brings that light itbrings that clarity it masks the highplaces gives you good perspective and itmounts those those thoughts in your mindthat are too low and you know that couldbe low self-esteem it could be any ofthese things and it starts to give youclarity if you want the same holy spiritthat I’ve been talking to you about thisHoly Spirit that there is he is fire heis love he is everything that you’veever needed he is your protection here’syour safe place here’s your counselorhere’s your teacher here’s here’severything that you need I’d like you todo in just a quick action with me andlet me pray with you that the HolySpirit and fire would come upon you withthis very morning and burn out any chaffany stuff that’s unuseful with anythingany stuff that that needs to be broughtout into the light would be brought outinto the light that every high placeevery low place every crooked place inyour life would be exposed and that theHoly Spirit would start to work with youstart to take you to new levels start toto bring in correct perspective on lifeand while many of you are looking for amiraclethe greatest miracle is this is that theHoly Spirit is is free and all he needsis an invitation and if if you want toinvite him I want you just to know thatyou’re also inviting Jesus Christ so ifyou haven’t invited Jesus Christ it’sinviting right now all you have to sayis Lord be the Lord of my life and andthen open your hands like this with meand we’re gonna pray quickly togetherand we’re gonna and just why why we whywhy I got my hands aren’t like this it’sjust an action of faith I’m saying GodI’m ready to receive my hands aren’t I’mI want to receive something now and whatam I want to receive I wanna receive theHoly Spirit and Fire so let’s let’s justpray for that right nowfather thank you Lord Lord Jesus thatyou are the Baptizer in the Holy Spiritand in fire we just ask that foreveryone including myself Lord that youwould just pour in your Holy Spirit inyour fire right now Lord Jesus thank youFather that across the airwavesacross the internet father that thiswould burn father thickness would burnChaffin people’s lives father that thiswould bring down strongholds forthat this would bring down high placesthat this would bring down pride inarrogance that father that this wouldbring up depression and and anger itwould bring up self-esteem issues itwould bring up suicidal thoughts it willbring up everything and father we justpray that you would just fill yourfirewood full right now Thank You HolySpirit thank you for doing in us what wecan’t do without you thank you forbreaking the yoke of bondage now thankyou Father thank you Lord Jesus thankyou amenjust tell you what the Holy Spirit is itspend some time with them soak in hispresence just become sensitive to him heis there with you he is with me he’swith us and I just keep my hands herebecause I want to receive more I want toreceive more there’s always more there’salways one with Jesus there’s alwaysmore I want more fire to to burn stuffin my life that I don’t want they thereis a fire of the Holy Spirit that Ideeply want in my life the Holy Spiritteaches me he guides me here’s mycounselor he is my friend he there is somuch in the person of the Holy Spirit hestraightens out my faults he is truthhe burns away the useful stuff in mylifejust let him burn he brings passion tomy hearthe gives me wisdom to know what I shoulddo and I just ask you to tarry a littlebit of the Holy Spirit I’m going to tellyou with them a little bit here next tomy fire next to my reminder of the holywhat the Holy Spirit is doing in me andthrough meand in you I just want to remind it thathe’s doing this in you and in thatcountry I also want to just say over ourcountry may this this the holiestprudent fire be the driving force inevery home in this nation that that iswhat I will say I will say that the HolySpirit is the answer for this nation andI just I just wanted to clear a blessingover South Africa that God’s light thatGod’s favor would shine over this nationthere is his life would just be uponeverybody in this nation so that hisface would shine upon us that he wouldgive us peace as a nation and that hewould give us joy as a nation that hewould give us business ideas as a
