we are celebrating the waffle day and
I’m back in the kitchen with Lucia with
Lucy’s healthy marketplace we have our
delicious Monte Cristo ready to go but
this one I love tater tots and you’re
creating so in the freezer section
you’re gonna find these great little
tater tots they’re called like potato
something or another but I know the MS
tater tots and my kids oh yeah and
growing up that’s all I ate but we have
waffle makers or most of us do and it’s
like make waffles out of them but what
else can we make out of our little
island exactly so we’re gonna make these
beautiful Tater Tot waffles so how did
you do it you just you get this maker do
you need to spray it with like a non I
sprayed it with a coconut oil and I get
these things and I just smash it all in
there until it’s nice and flat and then
I put salt in it and then I heat it up I
heat it up at about 4 or 5 you wanted it
for about 8 minutes okay so I have to
start ahead of time gotcha sometimes
it’s ready when it’s a baby’s right now
I’m gonna bomb yes so you need to have 2
1 just cooling off here you don’t want
to put this on the plate because then it
gets soggy and nasty you know you don’t
like soggy notes you want your rest
exactly where I RAC to let that cool
down so what you’re gonna want to do is
you want to get some cheese and this is
also a great alternative to like a
grilled cheese for your kids you know
right and this would be a great
breakfast for dinner
yes you know just take that out and it’s
your hash browns so breezy but some yeah
Oh Carl like how long it takes to do
hashbrowns on the stovetop or oven it’s
terrible take
it takes a while so this one’s coming
kind of speeds things up a little but it
sure does but anyways this is putting
some cheese on here if it’s just for
kids you can you know add bacon and I’m
using an alternative bacon and this is a
no soy bacon this is a no soy bacon and
I did ask you I said you know I love
real bacon does this taste good at all
and you said it’s good sweet earth yes
and you know those that are vegan or
vegetarian my only advice is that you be
careful with the amount of soy that you
intake because soy is an exact
replication of our estrogen so you know
don’t drink so much soy milk try to stay
away from soy soy meat alternatives and
just try to look for the soy free stuff
okay and then you know put some more
cheese on top of that I love the way you
do things you’re into layering yeah I
love layers because it’s all these
flavors layered together together into
one and then you’re gonna stick that on
top and then you’re just gonna push this
down and just put that now so that
national waffle day can we do like a
triple decker why not they go Tater Tot
clump
that’d be all these different levels of
meat in there and we should do a contest
and so you can eat it the fastest and
then you just cut it in here we go and
there you go and the cheese is supposed
to be melted down to meet that yesterday
so it’s not melting quite down but it’s
delicious my son he was salivating
oh sorry honey not for you two dishes
down but I have a little sweetness with
my waffles and we’re gonna make this
monster yes and we’re also gonna take a
look at all the fun things at your
