Ingredients:
Pilsbury Pie Crust (room temperature!)
6 Gala apples
1 Lemon
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 generous dash nutmeg
2 tbsp butter
1 egg + water for egg wash
Preheat the oven to 425
Peel & chop apples, add juice of 1/2 lemon (or the whole lemon, like I did)
Add sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg. Let sit.
Line pie pan with butter, roll out room temperature pie crust and press into pan
Fill pie with apple filling
Cut 2 tbsp butter into cubes and place in apple filling where needed
Top pie with other pie crust piece, press onto pie.
Apply egg wash with a brush
Cut 5 holes into pie in the shape of a star
Bake for 30 minutes
