Ingredients
1. Chickpea Flour (besan)- 1C (120gm)
2. Semolina – 1/2 C (100gm)
3. Oats -1/2 C (50gm)
4. Turmeric – 1tsp
5. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
6. Red Chilli flakes – 1tsp
7. Corriander powder – 1 tsp
8. Garam Masala – 1 tsp
9. Chopped Green Chillies – 1/2 tsp
10. Grated Ginger – 1/2 tsp
11. Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
12. Salt – 1 and 1/4 tsp (or to taste)
13. Chopped Onion – 1/4 C (1 medium size)
14. Grated Carrot – 1/4 C (1 medium size)
15. Chopped Capsicum – 1/4 C (1medium size)
16. Pumpkin puree – 1and 1/2 C (250gm)
17. Curd – 1/2 C (100gm)
18. Lemon juice – 2 tbsp (30ml)
19. Water – 1C (240ml)
20. Ghee/oil – for greasing
Method
1. Take Besan, semolina, oats, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilli flakes, corriander powder and garam masala in a bowl. Mix it well
2. Add green chillies, grated ginger, baking soda and salt. Stir it .
3. Put onion, carrot, Capsicum, pumpkin puree, curd and lemon juice.
4. Gradually add water to make batter and let it rest for 20 minutes.
5. After resting, add some more water to adjust consistency. Batter should be thick.
6. Grease tawa/pan with a ghee or oil. Drop batter on hot tawa and spread it immediately. Cook it from both sides till golden brown.
7. Serve it hot with tea, butter or yoghurt.
Note: you can use 3 eggs instead of pumpkin purée.
