Recipe : CHILLI BREAD
INGREDIENTS :
White/Brown Bread : 6
Butter/Oil/Ghee : 1-2 tbsp
Mustard : 1/2 tsp
Jeera : 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tbsp
Green chillies : 2 (chopped)
Curry leaves : few
Big Onion : 2 (chopped)
Cabbage : 1/2 cup (chop/grate)
Capsicum : 1 (chopped)
Tomato : 2 (chopped)
Garam masala : 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder : 1/2 tsp
Tomato sauce: 1 tsp
Chilli sauce : 1 tsp
Salt : to taste
Coriander leaves : few
PREPARATION :
1. First keep the kadai in high flame. Add 1-2 tbsp of oil/butter/ghee. Then add the mustard and jeera.
2. Then add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
3. Then add chopped onions and cabbage. Saute until the cabbage is cooked properly and the onion turns golden brown.
4. Then add green capsicum and tomatoes. Mix it well. We can add any number of vegetables.
5. Add salt as per your taste.
6. After mixing it well, add 1tbsp of garam masala. We can add chaat or pav bhaji masala.
7. Then add 1 tsp of chilli powder. We can add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder too.
8. Then add 1 tsp of tomato and red chilli sauce. We can even add soya sauce but add only a bit as it will taste bitter if added more.
9. Saute well in medium flame and keep it aside.
10. Toast the 6 slices of bread in a pan or hot tawa.
11. Cut the bread into smaller pieces and add into the masala.
12. Spread the masala evenly to all the bread pieces.
13. Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
