Ok, this is the 2nd time I made these and they were too dry so I am using mama’s fudge recipe from now on. The recipe below has been revised so that it will work better and be more creamy!!
One of my fondest memories are eating and making these no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies! I remember vividly getting off the bus and making these after school with my brother Eddie!

DO YOU REMEMBER that good old southern cooking? When I was growing up, my granny was my favorite cook. My mama was an amazing cook as well, but there was just something about being in granny’s kitchen. We all gathered around the table when we went to her house. She had a kitchen that was about 12×12 .
I have made it so easy for you to learn how to cook like my granny and mama did with cooking tutorials for each and every recipe in our cookbooks. You can see how to order these by visiting us on our website. Oh and no difficult to find or crazy ingredients! Just simple ingredients and really good food.
NOW FOR THIS FAMILY RECIPE:
3 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/8 cup peanut butter
1 1/4 cup canned milk (evaporated)
1 stick margarine
3 cups 1 minute oats
In a saucepan melt margarine on low heat. In the meantime, whisk the sugar and cocoa together in a bowl. Add milk to margarine then add sugar and cocoa. Bring to a bowl and cover. Cook 3 minutes or until it reaches 220-230 degrees (soft ball stage). Take off heat and pour into a clean bowl with peanut butter. Stir well and add oats 1 cup at a time stirring after each addition. If mixture is dry add canned milk (1 tsp at a time) until it blends well. Mixture should be glossy and pretty (not dry looking) Drop by tsp onto parchment and enjoy!!
Option: Use 5 cups Powdered Sugar in place of regular sugar. If you use this option cook time will reduce from 3 to 1.5 minutes.
