hey guys today we are going to be makingclassic chocolate chip cookies from oneof our favorite cookbooksclueless in the kitchen so umyou will need butterthree quarters of a cup of sugar youwill also needthree quarters of a cup of brown sugar[Music]i had to make sure it tasted all right ican’t feedor put um brown sugar that doesn’t tastegood in cookiesyeah that’s not right all right so nowwe’re actually going toput the brown sugar in herethat’s three quarters almost threequarters of a cupthree quarters of a cup of brown sugarwhen cracking an egg you always want tocrack it into a separate bowl firstjust to make sure if there’s like any uhsay there’s like say it’s a bad egg yeahor ifthere’s any shell in it yeah then itdoesn’twreck your whole entire likewhatever you’re baking and it doesn’twreck itnext you will need a teaspoon of vanillaextract next you will need oneteaspoon of baking soda now make sureyou don’t get baking soda and bakingpowder mixed uptwo cups of chocolate chips which isvery important because they are a keyingredient in making chocolate chipcookies and then you would use one cupof chopped walnuts or pecans but thoseare optional and we are not going to putthosein here’s an overview of all of ouringredientsokay sorry so we forgot an ingredientwe forgot salt but it’s optional but ithink we’ll put a bit of it yeahstep one preheat the oven to 375fahrenheitfahrenheit or 190 celsiusokay next it says in a large bowl withan electric mixermixer or in a food processor beattogether the butterand white and brown sugars eggs andvanilla untilnice and fluffy we have our butter inhere now we are going to addour white and brown sugarnext you add your eggs and your vanillai will add the vanillaand you can add the no i want to add thevanilla i love it it’ll be fineokay okay oh whoa okay almostfive mils is approximately one teaspoonand i find that you can usually go alittle extrawith your vanilla yeah because vanillais just deliciousokay so be sure when you’re using amixer toum always have it not plugged inwhen you’re attaching that or putting abowl onor when you’re putting your bowl inthere andalso do not plug it in until you areready to mix andalways have a guard and always be sureto put your hairback and make sure that your uhmachine uh make sure we plug this incan’t reach it sure thanks sobe sure your mixer is off yes and alwayshave your hair tied back like they saidjust plug it in please it’s hardokay all right let’s mix and when you’remixing twoalways start it off low stirso your ingredients don’t go poofeverywhereall right so we got it fluffy and we’regonnatake charlie and take this off nowthere we go and our mixer is off so yeahnowand we’re going to unplug it before wetakethe bowl off and now we unlock itbring it up then the instructions say ina smaller bowl combineflour baking soda and the saltthen add to the creamed mixture mixturebegin unt beating until smooth andblended stirring chocolate chips by handat this pointcertain persons might be adding ourwalnuts or pecans so this is our[Music]two and a quarter cups two and onequarter cups offlour here’s a quarter cup and d rightnow has the one cupso so here’s our first cup of flourvery personal[Applause]so the next cup of flour is extrapreciseand then that was two cups now and now iwill adda fourth of a cup that’s one quarter ofa cupoh[Applause][Applause]we have all our flour um and then itsaysand baking soda so we’ve got our baconbaking soda yeah um so we need how muchbaking sodaone up the extra flour here so i’m justgonna go wash this quickso now d is adding theteaspoon i think you know what i thinki’m just gonnapull this back and maybe a teaspoonand then oh stick it in theremaybe i uh should i put it in here sillyum or put it back inokay teamwork um so one two oneor five mills of baking sodaand then lastly in the bowl we must addoursalt oh i can’t break it i can add thesaltokay so just flip her upside down andjustput in a pinch of salt we don’t needmuch that surehang on here maybe likethat much salt it’s a lot of salt butokaynot really okie dokienext it says toadd the cream or then to add thisto the creamed mixture beating untilsmooth and blendedall right solet’s it’s like we in like every videowe say already at the same time yeahthat was loud all right let’s startbeatingokay so now we have to get all thisextra and it’s really becoming cookiedoughyes i cannot wait to taste thisand i’m right now measuring baking paperfor our cookie sheetokay because baking paper is importanti can’t get this thing oh never mind igot it offi didn’t think it was actually that easyso now the instructions say to stir inthe chocolate chips by hand so let’s goget those chocolate chips you also gotto make sure that these chocolate chipsare good too you can’t put bad chocolatechips in a cookiemmm they’re good chocolate chips yepthey’re proofall right so it says to addhow much chocolate chips two cups ofchocolatechips it’s a lot of chocolate hereit’s just the right amount yeahhe’s gonna add the first cup ofchocolate chips i’m gonna add the secondcup[Applause]z your turnoh no okay um so now it says to mixthe chocolate chips in by hand so we’rejust gonna use a spoonbecause the chocolate chips were reallydifficult to mix in i decided to take analternate solutionand use my hands to try and mix this innow we have our dough all mixed and wehave our scooperfor our dough and we’re just goingto scoop up our cookie doughand dollop it onto ourcookie sheet and if you want you canpress it down with a fork or somethingto make it flat but we want to make apatternyeah but we aren’t i don’t think we arecookie number two we might honestly needtwo cookie sheetsyeah maybe this tip uh when you’re goingto
