Simple and easy way to make French cookies 😊
Petit Four is usually a very small fancy cake, cookie, or confection, typically made with marzipan and traditionally served after a meal. A traditional afternoon tea includes a wide array of small confectionery morsels that can be consumed in one or two bites. The traditional French name given to these types of pastries is petit four. The name literally means “small oven” and comes from the way in which the tiny treats were traditionally cooked. It is also a tradition in many countries to bake these delights in the holidays to celebrate with their families & neighbors. Try it with us and let us know how you like it. These little treats will melt in your mouth from how light and fluffy they are!

Serving Size

Ingredients
Petit Four Cookies:
* 250 g Butter
* 1/2 powder sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 tsp Vanilla extract
* 2 cups flour
* 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Cooking Tools:
* Hand mixer / mixer
* Cookie presser (optional for shapes)
* Oven tray
* Plate for serving
Prep:
1. Pre heat oven to 350°F (180°C)
2. Start by adding the butter and the sugar and mix them well together for about 5 mins (this is very critical for its consistency)
3. Then add the egg and mix well
4. Then add the vanilla
5. Add the four gradually and mix everything well together
6. The dough should be sticky enough but it shouldn’t fall apart or stick to much if it’s very stick then you need to add more four until it becomes oily
7. Add the dough in the cookie presser to create the shapes
8. If cookie presser is not available you can use a piping bag and make any shapes you would like
9. After that put in the oven on 350 * for about 12 min and 3-4 mins on broil to get the golden crust on top
10. Now it’s ready to be served with tea, hot milk tea, coffee or just eat it alone!
Enjoy!!
