Waffle House now sells their mix onlineso you can buy it at home so I thoughtI’d test it out and see if these wafflesstack up to the real thingWaffle House has joined a variety ofrestaurants offering fun ways to makesome of the most iconic meals at homealthough I was a little intimidated atfirst because it’s more than just addingwaterit’s the authentic recipe right down tothe process these waffles call for awhopping four eggs and two quarts ofhalf-and-half for the whole three poundbag but I don’t need a whole gallon ofbatter so I decided to divide the recipeby 1/4 I also don’t usually havehalf-and-half in my fridge so I made myown with one part heavy cream and onepart milk the recipe also says to use abanh Marie but I don’t even know whatthat wasturns out you can pretty much make yourown with a bowl and a pot of boilingwater over low heat firsttake your egg and add it to the bowl andthen pour in the half-and-half whiskthat together once it’s wellincorporated you can add the WaffleHouse mix feel free to do it all at oncebecause I notice the mix doesn’t reallyclump upas you whisk you’ll notice the batterstart to thicken as everything comestogether at this point it says to pourinto an airtight container and store inthe fridge overnight but I didn’t wantto wait that long so I ended up usingthe batter right away maybe it is betterovernight but I didn’t mind thedifference simply pour the batter in tofill the waffle iron and cook for aboutthree minutes the batter should crisp upnicely and once it’s done you’ll have abeautifully golden Waffle House waffleand now for the final testdoes it taste as good as it looks that’sa really good waffle probably the bestwaffle I’ve ever made at home thesewaffles were the perfect combination ofsweet and savory and I’m pleased to saythat my family ate the entire batch soif you’re craving that waffle houseflavor this is the perfect at-homesolution thanks for watching you likethis video check out these other videosfrom USA Today to stay up to date withall the latest news
