How to make no-bake chocolate cookies || JOYful Food

In my JOYful Food series, I am going to show you to make my favorite treats, desserts, meals, and dishes. In this video, I will show you how to make no-bake chocolate cookies. This is a recipe passed down from my dad from my grandma, so besides delicious, they are comfort food with some precious memories associated with each bite. I give you some tips and tricks to think about when making them. I hope you enjoy them! I sure do.

RECIPE

Supplies

Saucepan
Rubber spatula
Large meal spoon (or other type of spoon of varying size)
Parchment paper or wax paper
Ingredients
2 cups of granulated
1/2 cup of milk (I used 2%, but you can use whole, 1% or skim)
3 tablespoons cocoa powder (brand does not matter)
2 cups old fashioned oats or instant oats (brand doesn’t batter)
  1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (brand doesn’t matter; can also use crunchy if you wish)
1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted is fine; I usually only buy salted butter)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Steps
1) Prep ahead: Get two sheets of parchment paper/wax paper tore out and placed on
counter or table.
2) Bring sugar, milk, and cocoa to boil on medium heat in saucepan, stirring constantly with
rubber spatula.
3) Once boiling, set timer for 3 minutes.
4) Remove from heat, and add oatmeal, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla. Mix well.
5) Use spoon and ladle out preferred amount of mixture on previously laid out paper.
6) Wait around 30 minutes, or more, for cookies to solidify.
7) Enjoy!
